Thanks for the replies. I'll likely go with a mix and match Viktorias crew rather than the box, and probably Lady Justice. I do like the ladies, so this is most definitely Not A Problem. This will avoid the ones needing a bunch of zombies, dogs, etc. and will also be one crew per faction, since Neverborn (Pandora), Arcanists (Rasputina) and Resurrectionists (Seamus) are already in the mix. I am starting to collect (and ideally, play) Malifaux and am thinking of collecting 3 or 4 different crews to use within my gaming group, since it is currently unlikely that anyone else will be willing to (or be able to afford to) buy into the game at the moment. But I can probably interest some people in playing if I front the minis and rulebook. One concern I have is the degree of "rock-scissors-paper" between specific crews, which seems to be a common and likely unavoidable phenomenon with these games, especially in early editions before all the bugs have been shaken out. I have already started with the Pandora and Rasputina boxes, plus some obvious additions (Teddy, December Acolytes, master-specific totems). I'd prefer only one crew from a given faction, and go with the starter box (if available) plus one or two extras to fit the theme etc., but I can deviate from the starter boxes if it makes sense to do so. Preferences for other crews would be: McMourning or Nicodem Victorias (probably), although would consider Gremlins or Levi Justice or Ortega Family One person in our group might be starting with Seamus. Anyhow, which of these would people suggest to provide the best experience for a group new to Malifaux? Which crews should I avoid due to poor matchups with Pandora, Rasputina, or Seamus? LMoE
