  1. Glad you enjoyed that. The Guardian is pretty much an auto-include in all my LadyJ lists. The utility is just too good to pass up.

The Watcher/Scales combo seems pretty awesome, but I fear it may be to much setup to pull off effectively unless done after all your opponent's models activate. One defensive duel thrown in there and you will prob not know what you are drawing with the Scales again. Now, just having two models to pull and mess with you fate deck is cool, but maybe the Scales could be dropped for something else?

Also, after today, I'm dead sold on the Guardian for Lady Justice. It can use her melee buffs, provides her with armor and a damage funnel, and can keep pace with her through Overprotective.
  2. Yep, that is why I pointed it out. Pretty awesome buffs for already awesome models.

If von schil is in your crew then yea it can affect him, it doesn't specify guild only. And with Ryle its only when your targetting him with an effect does he not count as friendly. And since it doesn't target he is still friendly.
  3. I ran her Lucius with her one tourney. LadyJ is a great model to Reinforcements. I think my crew could have been built a little better, but I see some good points and tricks. Just expensive . . . and honestly . . . . Von Schill is the same points cost.

  4. The Hunter also will give you scrap counters to blow up. Ryle is also always a good choice for Hoffman, if you plan to play a little more defensive. Against all those spirits being about to spread out the damage and multiple damage flips on the attack will help to mitigate the "half damage" you'll deal on spirits.

Also . . . don't underestimate Drag. One your peacekeeper and Hunters you can drag folks right into your Open Circuit or even "flurry" range of other models. It is also annoying to pull someone out of Companion range as well.

You were in a very tough match-up to begin with. All of that nastiness in one game is hard to try to build a crew to handle all of it.

  5. Von Schill is good with almost anyone. Hah!

I would also suggest possibly a Watcher for utility, and maybe a Guardian to amp up some anti-magic tricks or to Protect LadyJ. It doesn't have the damage output, but the defensive abilities against magic and to buff the rest of your crew is fantastic.

    Peacekeeper is also always good . . . .

  6. With Shadow you get a bit more mobility. Positive flips for the attack and damage are nothing to sneeze at with Ambush as well.

Oh yeah, and throwing around Arrest on smaller models can help a lot with burning up someone's control hand. I know it isn't the easiest to get off . . . . but that is a lot of utility.

  7. My new favorite trick has been running a Guardian with LadyJ. Cast Protect on her and now you have effectively a 21 Wound Lady J. The Guardian can Disrupt spells around her . . . give models around her Armor 2 . . . . or even repair himself. He isn't bad in combat either . . . . and can just stay close to LadyJ with his Overprotective ability. If anything it takes fire off of her while you move into the heart of your objectives.

Oh . . . and Von Schill is another fun add-on with LadyJ . . . I used all 3 in a tourney as of late and placed 2nd . . . not a sight most people want to be looking at on the other side of the table.

  8. Remember he's the cheapest Scrap Counters you can get. combine with Detonate Scrap you can even make his death worthwhile.

Exactly . . . you also have yourself a cheap 50mm based model for blocking charge lanes/LOS. He also becomes a pile of explosives pretty much once he dies.

Also, don't underestimate Drag . . . . I run a list with two Hunters/one Peacekeeper and love just sucking stray models into the Open Circuit field.
