  1. Thanks Yzzuf. I had bookmarked that DVD before because I've seen it mentioned before a few times during my Googling. I watched BeastOfWar on youtube and their painting of a Space Wolf marine miniature. That was pretty amazing and the guy explained it very well. I've already read a ton of articles today including the ones on dipping. Now it's just a matter of picking out some decent not too expensive brushes and getting down to it.
  2. You guys have been really helpful, seriously. About buying toy soldiers, that's an excellent idea actually and most likely I will do that. I was just worried that maybe the plastic it was made out of wouldn't lend itself to painting or something. My hunt for painting supplies has begun haha.
  3. An art degree!!?? Doh!!! I only have one in Comp Sci lol. Maybe I can write a program to operate machinery that paints my miniatures for me....hmmmmmmmm. I kid, I kid. I've been reading tutorials for the past few days and will probably buy a few things here and there to practice. I'm waiting a bit to make sure I'm not just being impulsive hehe. Edited for huge grammar mistakes.
  4. A lot of people are starting to convince me to at least TRY to learn to paint. I'm leaning toward the idea now, but we'll see. I saw those Reaper Learn to Paint Kits and am also looking around for tutorials such as the ones Gilbear posted. Hopefully I can find some good beginner videos or something. I don't plan on learning on Malifaux figures so I'll find something cheaper to practice on.
  5. I sent them an email and Shawn replied with this link to show off their Malifaux skills: http://www.bluetablepainting.com/view_gallery.php?galleryID=3403 I await a quote from them as well. I shot off an email to these guys just now. Funny that you should mention D6 generation because I just started listening to their podcast today. I heard them mentioned before, but only today got around to checking them out. They are Malifaux fans as well it seems.
  6. Yea, that's kind of why I came on here. I just wanted to see if there was a source, or if anyone on here painted on commission or used someone else online. I'm not familiar with any local game stores in my area as of yet, but that should change once I get some time to head out to one. I know they don't play Malifaux though, yet. Wow, your painting skills are impressive. That Perdida is pretty nice there *wink* . I'll shoot you a PM shortly. Thanks for the replies guys! If anyone else wants to chime in, I welcome the discussion.
  7. This may seem like blasphemy to some of the more "hardcore" miniature hobbyist. However, is anyone aware of a place that consistently sells pre-painted Malifaux figures or boxed sets? Failing in that, a place that you have used to send your Malifaux figures in for painting and had good results? I enjoy playing miniature games however I have no interest in painting due to time constraints and not being artistically inclined. I enjoy the tactics and fun that comes with miniature gaming and in the case of Malifaux, the theme. The painting aspect is pretty much what is preventing me from getting into this one, but I'd really like to play it, albeit with nice looking figures. Thanks!
