  1. I have wanted that style as well Joel, I havnt got it yet. I tryed the emissary to turn him into an end of turn jack the ripper, teamed up with pathnfinders, angle eyes and a doppleganger (ocassionaly with queeg for more traps/interacts). But with this setup I was to squishy.

    my next attempt is fears candy a beckoner or 2, a few pathfinders for traps and maybe angel eyes.

    game plan is, candy holds as many as she can while path finders make trap fields, angel and path finders shoot into combats and beckoners lure onto traps and into my nasty zones and Lucius just warps around red tapeing everything. Add or remove as the scheme requires

    Lucius and Mai Feng are the two who I always run out of Ss when building a crew for

  2. I'm looking to try ama with hidden agenda and smoke bombs and a couple of orian, and the emissary

    emissary buff for focus blasts or poison damage and when able gives the neg flips

    obviously there is the paralyze devour which is alot more consistent on a neg flip opponent

    ama wants to focus for big hits meaning big blasts

    orian get the free focus and can make a second focused hit, not sure what els to throw in but that only comes to 32 with misdirection on brewie so I have a bit of room to adapt

  3. i could see him working better with most othere outcast masters, take a rat engine for activations to use wrath later

    Tara, fast for more attacks, alot of flurry

    Hamlin, tones of modles for attacks and activations, obeys for more attacks

    viks, send him in just befor blood vik, viks like mercs

    misaki, if running misaki with less focus on assasinate and using her emissary this could do alot of extra damage

  4. I use him as a gimik. Some examples

    take nix with hollow, some guild dogs and a rat catcher for 1 ap charge against modles near a scheme marker and get more damage from wrath or jd curse

    basicly ways to get lots of attacks or or amp damage more, but its not a main streem choice for sure

    if you want to go a bit more serious you could use him and jd together as a kill team (jd puts firing squad on a big guy and hits him a bit) then an amped wrath charges in to finish, but its not ideal and would only want to be used on solo big guys (riders, some emissarys). If your foe has any chance to fight back they could realy hurt him

  5. I'm not doing 3 damage first, I was saying a merc doing fixed 3 dmg atacks with a plus flip to hit is good for the cost if they borrow the scions attack

    although I'm using 12 Ss (merc and scion) I'm sort of not CUs if the merc dies I get 1 back so he cost 3 and the scion is so mobile that she isn't a committed modle, it lets me lightning strike a splinter group and remove them turn one, then turn 2 reposition to the bulk force, and if the attack is botched with a modle like kJ or nothing beast then they are in a sticky place and might waste a few turns there. If its botched with the merc oh well and the scion is of to the rest of my force anyway

    as is my mantra with the mercs, there not my first choice but they are versatile enough to be a safety choice to gain activations and fill lots of roals

    kJ kills more than merc scion but is more pigeon holed

    wretches are quicker, but cant shoot and are fragile early turn

    I had a kJ alpherd into my Tara wrecking her face and same game alpherd into my emissary, can Marcus do that with my merc, meh

    you want to obay my 12ss beast late in a turn and I'm Tara with no cards,a upsie.

    same situation but I'm useing a merc, oh well

  6. sry phone typing, I did say merc unburries scion.

    super risky sure, 1wd on merc and 6 on scion but its more used to shut down a tough solo flanker like an emissary or rider then with taras positional power you burry scion for healing and move to your bulk foce

    I find use for mercs anyway with Tara, void wretch and winged plauge are better in specific scenarios as a flanker but mercs are rounded, and if I keep him near Tara I can get a stone back of a modle using 1/4/7 or fixed 3dmg attacks

  7. Tara, I pay better, scion of the void, desperat merc.

    ping the merc for 1 and give fast and burry

    get scion buried

    2nd Tara activation un burry in combat and chain activate

    merc discards for I pay better makes 2 focused scion attacks with the plus flip for being desperat, then unburry the scion who can attack if she hasn't activated.

    verry risky play but I have used it as my solo besti bomb if I don't really want to do the bomb but do need to remove a big guy (such as a rider) early or to accompany the main best bomb as a cheep second hit

     

    also used him as frontline fodder for Levi, I dont mind hitting it in combat as I can tell it to attack and it wold get a plus flip or if its wounded I can turn it into a abom and possibly get a stone back

  8. well there is the generic thing of everything in gremlins wants a slop hauler and Lenny.

    more specifically if you want to use a pigapult you tend to want lenny and often a slop hauler

    the one I most like is Wong, emissary (for more blast damage) sparks (for more blasts) merris (for blast immunity). That is 24ss without upgrades

     

  9. is it just me (and I'm expecting it is) or do gremlins rely to much on overlapping effects?

    this is just based on theory craft and I love a combo, but it seems with gremlins if you want a strong combo it requires half or more of your stones to get working and crumbles with the removal of 1 model.

    is this the case or is it just me trying to get "the perfect combo" insted of making do

  10. I would recommend jack daw for all the damage auras as they don't trigger squeal

    Tara as she targets wp alot letting you avoid alot of squeals, and burrying helps even out activations

    or Ann Lovelace with anyone, make her a sister and chuck her in with the viks. Drop her out of taras bum on some grems. Hamlin can obey and pipe her up the bored. Vonschil can use the emissary to stop randomization and then fire over her head

    p.s. If grouped use blasts, the target squeals but the collateral wont

  11. it I leader only :( I'm not sure, I can see her working with death marshals, possibly aionus (although 20ss for a mediocre combo is iffy). The emissary with its instinctual can work well with her and make an expensive but reliable scheme running team.

    I all just seems so costly for such an average payoff

  12. hi, I'm looking to proxi scion of the void next game and I'm after some tips, running her with Tara but open to help with other crews too.

    I have some questions

    1. What role dose she preform

    2. Do you always hire a healer (possibly wretch) to keep her alive

    3. What upgrades do you take on her

  13. I realy don't like the guilty, if I have a non tormented modle I need to torment such as ama or sue then maybe id take one and use it to scheme run.

    but outcast has better scheme runners, and there are better pre tormented foot soldiers.

    they can be a trap to, if you are only taking them to make someone tormented you are adding 5ss on to there cost effectively making what ever it is over priced

  14. design ideas

    angus was designed with 3 Main goals in mind

    1. To give lynch a henchman he could higher Tha isn't the auto include huggy, so lynch can drop stones on a big(ish) model and feal happy its in theme

    2. To buff up 10t brewi and offer him more synergy without giving more to gremlin brewmaster

    3.to buff Lucius and give Lucius a mimic that will be strong in the guild

     

    breakdown

    tags

    mimic is there for Lucius and to fit with graves and tannen. nightmear to Mack the horror elements more synergistic. And darkened for lynch

    stats

    good wp average defense, decent wounds as his incorporial. Strong walk as its his only way up but no charge

    abilitys

    big drinker is there as a heal method, letting him stand up front with brewi and act as a small Ss battery for Lucius while not makeing him impossible to nuke with a caster

    actions

    glass

    mi 5 is week but its made as a last resort and should be focused or use the -flip from his upgrade

    you deal with it

    couple of core ideas with this, it can target leaders so he can poison pulse and then chuck brewi in and let him Drinking contest. He can throw tannen so he can put up chatty but remain manipulative or graves so graves can show them the Dore (I like the idea of angus saying you deal with it and tannens approach is to talk them to death and graves would throw them out) also works well with neverborns +flip out of activation and offers solid dmg output for a guild Lucius.

    to much to drink

    this was wear my angus idea started from. Basicly put him in the enemy's forces for loads of widow w and corpellius shenanigans, or in your force so Lucius is able to command the same modle multiple times

    the good supply upgrade gives lynch and brewi some strength withought offering to much to guild Lucius that would make guild to good

    go on, have some

    this is a multi purpose upgrade, brilliance os for lynch, then it will normaly poison them (for breiw) but can insted - flip df or wp

     

    combos and synergies

    Lucius

    lets Lucius take less minions and make more use of the ones he has, also allowing Lucius to get closer to fights for his buff

    illuminated

    pulse brilliance and Ss for the -df flip then move an iluminated next to some one and get them to attack then acomplice them so they can do 2 more

    graves and tannen

    as said above in, you deal with it

    dreamer

    works with dreamers conflux, lets him throw corpellius and widow on to make a mess

    bewi

    gives brewi a bit of strength and some poison within 10t

    I'm sure there is alot more out there but these are the designed combos
