  1. he sort of is, but he isnt out for revenge, he neads a chiald's imagination and fear to live, its how he sustains his life, and he was allways looking for new ways to try and make him self imortal, and he found that as the dreamer wasnt sceard of him and had a limitles imagination he could basicly harvist the kid to keep him self alive, thats why he does what the kid wants cus if he dosent the dreamer would just kick him out of his dreams, and then lcb sorce of imortality would be lost to him for ever, so he maks everythign seem like a game so the chiald will creat nightmears (normaly nightmears can only exist inside peaples dreams but the dreamer can give them a corporial form alowing them to attack the living and harvest true fear rather than just night terrors) to kill peaple and then he feeds of the fear of the sourunding peaple. i think
  2. cheating fate: PLAYING a control card from your hand to replace the fate card in play is called cheatign fate. all models can cheat fate but only when the rules allow them to do so. The PLAYED control card becomes the new fate card pg 33 discarding:discarding a card MOVES it into your discard pile, face up, without applying it value or suit pg 33 as you can see the rules for discarding at no point mention plaing it, wear as they do for cheating fate, the discared card at not point enters play it goes straight from hand to discard pile and never has any effect on the game.
  3. played is when you cheat fate, one of the cards in your hand goes into play. everything else like discard is not being played as they never enter play.

All of what has been said so far is good. just some of my thoughts. sadly stolen are unique (i think) so you can only start with one, but i always do, as it alows you to sacrifice him and then the same turn summon anothere one as a death shield, i havnt played any games with him yet, but my plan was to move up in 2 groups. group A would be 5(ish) rats nix maybe a rat catcher group b would be hamlin 1/2 dsperat mercs a stolen a wretch now i havnt worked out points for this, this is just guide lines, and i since have gone of hamlin, but basicly group A would move up being herded by nix, doing all the reactivating rat shinanigans with the rat catcher, and spearding blight (not focusing attacks) unless against some one like rezzers wear you need to cut of the head. wial hamlin uses stolen and desperat mercs as a resource for his spells and ability's wial making everything he can insignificant, (hamlin is a beast in the right situation) he can esaley lock down the enamys big guy or cut through a week hord buy making them insig and then either making them target him or using the aura spell, then when the rat suicide squad dies out (should take a few turns), or you lock down the big guys with hamlin, move on to using bleeding desieas (from stolen, hamlin, wretch, rat catcher and nix) against all the blighted stuff your rats attacked to mop them up. also neg flips are your freind, you realy want to make the enemys negativ any way you can (nix is good for this), the down side is they dont get to play a card so you dont draw one, but if the enemy is at a neg defence then even if all you have in hand is a 5 for a spell, you might be able to win with it, and the cb 4 rats arnt so bad when the enamy cant cheat fate as i say just how i was going to do it, but i really dont like the fluff around new hamlin (old hamlin was cool), he got beaten by a piterful gardener, and i finde it really hard to play as some one who i dont like the story for.
  6. yeah, in the list i want to take, im only really going to have 2 modles near ramos i hope. kaeris to take advantage of the spiders he makes and the toolkit, if he is in any reall trouble i can make spiders and electrical creations to deal with things. my one dislike for kaeris is you cant rely on her, most of her things the enemy gets to pick, witch takes the control out of your hands, unlike poison you cant rely on a burining counter to kill some one with one wound. the rules say you can only be under the effect of slow once (it dosnt go to slow 2), does this mean if the enamy has slow they cant pick slow on the burning counter becus they are already suffering the effect or can they pick it and just not lose out
  7. hum i didnt think of the scrap counters side of things, im not sure about the guardian, i find him a bit iffy as he is, and for 8ss it might be to much for me. are you thinking of using the large spiders deffensifly near ramos, on the offence alone/pairs or on the offence in a big group of stuff. do you think you will ever use cut away
  8. from the sign's i would say not likely, but then im not in the know so there is a very good chance im rong about everything
  9. i havnt but a member of my gaming group has, he says he is better against living crews. on par with the convict against undead, construct and neph crews. but he would always go convict against kira or othere spirt heavy crews. also he runs him mainly in a zoraider crew, cus he says hes really good in crews that can do freindly wp duels (obay from zoraider and marcus's spell that makes you a beast) as you get the up side of the spell and can use smouldering heart to take a wound so your attacks get ++ on the attack flip, im not so keen on him with ramos though. i cant deal a wound to him easly to make him better and he isnt a construct so i can heal him or buff him or get scrap of him, thats why im going kaeris, as she is alot more powerful and manoverable than the gunsmith for only 2 more ss and she can use ss that ramos wont need now he has a toolkit
  10. i dont see it either, the only time i have seen her in a list is with levi so he makes himself into corps counters, but he need scrap more in my opinion, and yeah she can make bells wich do work well with levi. but its not worth 9ss in my opinion
  11. hi guys, i am evolving my ramos crew to take into acount book 2, i play at 35 ss usualy, so far i want to have ramos toolkit 3ss kaeris 8ss spider swarm 9ss this leavs me 15ss, and my plan so far is run ramos up turn 1-2, then use him as a factory, i can use kaeris to blow up spiders to put burning counters on peaple without them resisting or if they have a low df then just ignite, and then make them burn/paralize them without resist, or imolate on big guys, and use flame wall to block ramos's rear or flanks, or funel them. the swarm is jus there to do the normal stuff. im not sure what to add to the crew, i would like a combination of either 2 spiders 6ss (simple, easy, favorats. first spider i make gives me a new swarm.) ss miner 6ss (hated this guy untill i realised how easy he can kill a suport master, un tunnel, move, 3attacks. you could also kill things like terror tots easy, i am still unsure on how reliable this guy is) large spider 5ss (i have no idea how good theas guys are or what they are for, i would just use him to guard ramos, spear parts is ok and the saw blade is at least 3/4/6 armor ignoring) jhoan 5ss (not sure on this guy, the idea is for guys not to melee ramos, so jhoan might not get much use, but he has synergy) gunsmith 6ss (like him but not a construct, and dont know if i neeed more range output) mechanical rider 8ss (i dont really like her play style, and i finde it counter to ramos' idea of factory and turret, but nice damage) so what are you guys finding effectiv?
  12. i admit perdita's a stretch, but if they wanted it to be obvius they would just tell us, maybe its ment to be a stretch to throw us of, wirters are evil like that . and yes with the hoff i supose the bigger irony is his brother being what he is, rather than him using constructs and his harness.
  13. i think its posible that either bothe or one of them is dead, and if its just the one im thinking the judge, he was in love with lady, he died she rezzed him, he turnd into a melted face dude, she couldnt live with it took out her own eyes so she didnt have to see what she had done and denounced necromancy. she now seeks to kill the peaple who use it becus they dont think of the loved ones or something. it fits with the vibe of the witch hunter is a witch. the construct hunter relys on constructs. the nephalim (natral inhabitants of malifaux) hunter has a natral affinity with malifaux (bullet bending description) similer to lilith (can see and charge through terrain, similarities?) just my thoughts
  14. thanx guys, and nice incite rathnard. im a big fan of collodi, so im very tempted by 35ss zoraider collodi 4 mairrionets 2 stiched 3 wicked doll's 0ss cach i can use collodi and the marrionets to kill stuff quickly, with there mobility i could also do objectives without much trouble, the wicked dolls can teleport between zoraider and collodi to buff wear nesacery and kill things to make more, also with the healing provided by the wickeds and collodi, and hex i can easaly re use sticheds as hammers, gamble you life away twice, gain reactivate do it twice more obay twice (zoraider and doll), maybe be given fast if near collodi for another 1 or 2, then hex away the power that lets him reactivate so he dosnt sac. heal him with collodi and the wickeds and then fill him with stones for armor 2 and hard to kill, meaning he could do another 3 gambles befor he dies for good. very convoluted and he can't be filled with stones untill the turn after, but 8 gambles in 1 turn, you can kill almost a hole crew.

  17. no its my first i just have dislexyia, and im used to txting, sorry. i like what your saying with the madness's, i was also tempted by alps because of the -1 wp, a madness and an alp tagteam gives -1wp and a -flip on wp, for 15 ss i can get 1 of each (wicked doll, insidius madness, stiched together and an alp) or for 30 ss i can get 2 of each, would they work better as a hoard, two kill teams or a diffirent combination of models for 35ss. do you keep zoraider on the back line, or do you fly her up to get close to the action
  18. hi guys, im geting into zoraider, partly to pair up with pandora in a brawl and partly to pair up with, and partly cus i just like her. i have two list idea's, bothe for 35 ss, and i was wondering what you guys think of them, im looking for a allcomers list, just something to learn her with, the two lists i have are 1) 2 insidous madness 2 stiched together 3 slurids 2 ss cach 2) nurse desperat merc mature neph 3 slurids 2ss cach i have slurids in bothe, because i have been told they are amazing, but im not sure. my douts are the lack of a hard hitter to obey in the first list, and the suicidal nature of the second list, but i also like these quircks. pleas give feedback
  19. no problem, i hate it when you do that find some thing sooo cool but it dosnt quite work, its almost like they new what they were doing (shake's fist), like the old nures levi combo that would be so cool but then you look and there not unded, makes sens but is anoying

  21. well it also sounds very likely that sameal hopkins is going to be a hench, so i recon that there is going to be more than one new hench per faction
  22. yh, when you hire a special forces model you can only hire othere special forces of the same type, but only 2 in total if you hire a henchman you can have any number but still only of that type. if you run the hench as the master you can only hire what it lets you piped to the post, ignor what i sead
  23. i supose. hum i hate to say it but i think i prefer tina, i know colette is "over powerd" but i like that tina can just make things dead. no noncens, your bad... now your gone, rather than runing round them 5 times till they fall over just my playstyle though i supose, thanks guys
  24. yh but ice golems and gamin are constructs, and are probably going to be closer to ramos than the coryphees who will be running of straight away, as i say i cant see wich one brings more to the table, litraly
