Hello there! for professional reasons, i've been away for awhile from Malifaux. Now that i expect to play this game this week (YAY), i would like to know if that small book (with the dead marshall) has the updated rules with the errata from the original rulebook. Ps - does it contain as well the rules from the 2nd book(rising powers)? i know that it doesnt have the stats for the new minions and masters, but i would like to know if it had the rules at least (henchmen, etc) thanks

When i swarm/scatter, can i act right after i take that action? Or does it follow regular "i go you go" turns?

Thanks dude! that is BRUTAL!!! you have the chance to strike 9 times with only 3 of them (if things go well) one other question...at 25 points and with the stuff in the box, do you start with Ramos, Executioner 1 swarm and 1 spider or 4 spiders instead of 1 swarm and 1 spider?

Hello i had my first game of Malifaux yesterday with a friend. I went with Pandora and my friend went with Ramos. Ramos faction is awesome! My friend didnt even use 50% of their abilities, but the ones he used caused havoc among my faction, despite losing in the end. and yeah, we both enjoyed the Executioner (well, i didnt like it very much but...) but the swarms/spiders are what really shines in this faction IMHO. And Ramos itself is a blast! yeah, he has 2 DEF but Armour 2, Counterspell and Pneumatic grip (sometimes) make this guy really hard to kill! plus, with all the summoning he can make, he's never alone....and when all else fails, there's always electric fire to fry stuff oh sorry...the issues:) - when you use Salvage under fire, you just create a scrap counter out of nothing right? - Does "Perfect Machine" nullifies Pandora's ability to nullifies Constructs ability (immune to WP duels)? - example: suppose i have 3 spiders and the last one performs a Swarm together, leaving an AP left. When they swarm, can i use that AP left? and can i use that +2 that cames from Melee master? How does that work? I guess it should be the same principle for scatter.... thanks!

DangerousBean you are 100% right when you talk about Infinity. Have you guys ever tried to read the infinity rulebook till the end in 1 effort? it gives me a headache everytime...and it is my favourite game! i mean, you have 13 pages with troop abilities and 11 of weapons.....almost as many as game rules (29 pages)!! God bless Wyrd for showing the world that skirmish games can be learnt without suffering from a migraine

thanks guys! yeah, i didnt notice the CA before "Mental Anguish". so every time i want to see if an ability applies, i have to check what's the stat being used right?

hi guys! i had my first game of Malifaux yesterday with Pandora and i had a few doubts concerning some of the models abilities and actions - can you link a sorrow to anyone, including enemy minions and characters? - suppose i have a sorrow linked to Kade. If i move first the sorrow and then Kade, can i move the sorrow back to Kade after he finises his movement? - If i move Kade with Backstab, is that considered to be a move, i.e., can i move a linked sorrow with him with that spell? - when you cast spells that imply willpower based resist flips, is that considered a willpower duel (because of Pandora's ability that says that when someone loses a WP test they take 1 dmg point)? - Pandora's trigger is activated by any duel that uses WP or only spells that imply WP resist? i didnt understand this one... - If Ramos (for example) fails a WP test within 12" of Pandora and 3" of 3 sorrows (4 damage), his "Armour 2" ability reduces the damage to 2 or it doesnt apply, because the damage was made by 4 different sources (minimum of 1 so if everyone does 1, it is not possible to benefit from Armour) well then, whats my opinion about Pandora's faction? i won the match and i love her style, but i think that (and the other faction i know is Ramos) Pandora should be one of the toughest factions to play around!! i think it has an extremely high learning curve, i.e., you cant just move forward and hope to slash everyone else with melee/range attacks, but you have to stop the other player to play his strategy around. i think i have, for my first game, explored with some success the abilities of my minions and master, trying to initiate as many WP duels as i could, giving -1 card to WP duels, casting self loathing with both Candy and her linked sorrow and trying to launch Kade into melee with his abilities. But, and i dont know if other factions have WP as high as Ramos, when i thought that Pandora and her minions WP was great to do this kind of stuff, i saw Ramos stat and thought (what da hell?!?!?). And when i say Ramos i say the entire faction! WP 6 and 8? damn! thats pretty tough when your main stat is WP! but in the end i have managed to lead my faction to victory by playing Candy as a supporter to the other minions and Master, while casting Self Loathing 1-2 times in each round (+1 selfloathing with her sorrow) and grabbing the treasure (my objective) and Kade as the main (and only) melee striker....Pandora well...she's a great caster and it is really tough to duel with her! Any thoughts? Is this the way to play Pandora's faction? thanks!

hi there where to start? well, my name is Bruno, im Portuguese and i've been playing miniature games since i was 15 (warhammer 40k). After that, i went to the other gw ranges, mainly Fantasy and Lotr (for a brief period), but also necromunda as well. that was my first skirmish experience and i gotta say i didnt enjoy that much. But then i found out Rackham's Confrontation and that was it....slowly, i have abandoned large games and moved to skimirsh NEVER TO RETURN! Since that historical moment, i've played a lot of skirmish games, but now im playing only warmachine/hordes, infinity, bloodbowl once in a while and, since today, malifaux:) hope to keep it in my all-time favourite list! thanks
