I think the rulebook is absolutely beautiful; lots and lots of fantastic painted minis and color pages.

Rules? Well .. I'll go out on a limb and say they could have been explained more smoothly; no need to type out every single bit of the duel sequence for all duel types, for instance. I really don't like the way damage is dealt; the hit levels don't make sense.

Not being an english native speaker, I can see some bad sentences, and i stumbled on a 9+6=16 (or something like that) example, but it doesn't bother me over much as I guess it would a native.

As for game balance, I'll admit to some disappointment. Neverborn seem to have all the best rules, And the most soulstones. More than an edge, really, and I'm fast approaching the state of being sick of all my models committing suicide.

But there are lots of really nice things too. The card mechanic is fantastic, the action system is great, number of minis is perfect. And such fantastic miniatures!

I'm planning to make a stack of counters with a sheet of plasticard and a pair of scissors, once the game takes off a little more ..

Till then, bases work just fine.

What I'd love most would be buying a watermarked pdf that could be periodically updated, and show what changes had been made from release to release. Cause, let's face it, no matter how great designers we have here, errata there will be.

I love the work on Perdita's hair

Heh; that hair's about 10 layers of yellows and washes and ..

I started with a 1:1 mix of Privateer Press Heartfire and Menoth White Base, highlighted using mixes of Menoth White Highlight, Morrow White and reaper Sunlight Yellow. I used some heartfire and black washes there along the way.

And yeah; her coat is very dark. I can see the colors alright on my 'good' screen, but my lenovo laptop, it's all black. Don't know how to take that pic in a way that'll show all the purples and not bleach out the yellow.

Well, Magnus; you Could just drive to the airport, and sit still for a while; then take the train here - quite a bit easier =P
