  1. Weaver widow and teddy, eh? That's interesting, I'll certainly look into those. I saw the teddy miniature a long time ago, with an excellent paint job from our local henchman. Being a big League of Legends fan, I couldn't not pick him up at some point, and it seems he's perfect for The Dreamer's crew.

I like to run Teddy with Coppelius, they make a perfect team: one paralyzes everything, the other causes the pain :)

  2. Since the Viktorias are part of the Guild faction, consider purchasing Lucius at some point in the future-his crew can be led by himself, meaning you now have two leaders to choose from, and he can also be included with the Viktorias to marshall their troops, which really diversifies your options for building your crew.

Viks are actually Outcasts. They are mercenary however, which means you could if you wanted run them with some guild (I think this is only possible in a Brawl however, ie large scale game with 2 masters).

Better go for the Outcast models to complete your Viks crew, there's lots to choose from, the common choices being adding VonSchill and his Freikorps gang, or any of those unique models which are so great (Sue, MacTavish, Hans and many more...)

    Good luck!

  3. As Ozz wrote.

What makes an action possible or not is whether there is a certainty that it'll kill the acting model or not: if there is a slight chance (even if it's one card in the deck like in the example given) that no damage is inflicted then the action can be performed. If the action will cause the model to die with 100% certainty (ie inflict a Wd automatically when the model only has one left, like in Reckless), then it cannot be performed unless so stated.

  4. I'm not sure but I don't think the gamin counts as being "targetted" by the trigger's Wp duel, in which case you would not get to use Smoldering heart for it at all.

    Thanks for your replies guys!

Yes, this part is rather ambiguous; considering that the gamin becomes the "active" model for that Wp flip (and all those talents like immune to influence don't work at that moment), it doesn't feel like it should be considered as targeted/defending at that point.

Are we sure though that the flip caused by the trigger isn't part of the original duel (if not gamin could use smoldering heart at the very beginning for it to last til end of the combat in case the trigger is flipped)?

  5. As for Nicodem, would a rogue necromancy be considered a viable purchase? I just like the model, more than anything, and I'd like to have some options other than swarming with hordes of zombies (which, if I have my way, will abslutely get done more than once, while belting out as shrill a rendition of Thriller as I can manage whenever they're overrunning people).

Yes RN is great with Nico, with Bolster Undead it becomes a mean meaaaAAAaaan beast. You will probably want to summon by turn 3 or so once you've closed on the opponent and can pop the RN right in melee...

    Good luck!

  6. Hi there,

One of my local players has pointed out that the Indiscriminate Void description on http://www.malifaux.com/Rules/Models.pdf doesn't match that on the updated stats card for Hamelin. Which is correct and if its the clarification, can you tweak the download card please?

The card is correct, as it matches this: http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?37795-HAMELIN-ERRATA-(OR-maybe-the-world-is-ending-after-all)

  7. Hi there community!

Little quick one: I target a fire gamin with Hamlin's pipes. Must the gamin declare then and there ("once declared the target of a duel") whether he's using Smoldering Heart (even if at that point it isn't known whether I will have the Haunting Melody trigger), or is he allowed to wait and declare it only when and if I trigger Haunting Melody? (ie does having to do the Haunting Melody simple duel equates to being the "target of a duel")

    Thanks y'all!

    :)

  8. Re 2. I was having this discussion the other day. The aura is 3" and you can only see 3" into obscuring terrain. So surely you cant see raspy as the obscuring is exactly 3" and therefore even if she is touching it she can't be seen as you can only see to the edge of the terrain and not beyond it, even if it's like a nanometer.

Unfortunately if the model's base (Rasputina's) is exactly within 3" of obscuring (which she is) she can be seen, even if it's just micro mm touch. The aura just gives her cover

  9. Hello!

We're a bit confused with the duration of the Kaeris' Immolate marker: does it last until the end of the encounter or until the end of the turn?

This thread says it goes away at the end of turn: http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?28622-Immolate-Pyre-Marker-Ice-Pillars&highlight=kaeris+immolate

This thread says the opposite: http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?35234-Duration-of-Immolate-and-Flamewall-Markers&highlight=kaeris+immolate

(reminds me of that Asda add :) )

    So which is it?

  10. Our club is struggling to keep it going. Most players stopped as the complexity and wide range of individual rules was overwhelming, and most redirected their attention to WarmaHorde or Infinity, I'm lucky if I get a game there unfortunately, and usually my only option is now home with a mate. Really sad and kinda forces me to keep my 40k army if I want to play some game of some sort :(
