  1. With Kirai I usually also take a Canine and do the Gaki trick with Datsue two times. turns 4 soulstones into 10 with no real loss of speed becasue Kirai just puts her minions where ever she wants them.

When I play Kirai I actually have a Base Crew, that I always take. Everything else is just gravy on top of it.

    Kirai

    Lost Love

    3 Seishin

    Canine

    Desperate Merc

    Datsue Ba

    Insideous Madness

Kirai can out activate pretty much anyone in the game. Its tough to beat 5-6 models just passing their activations turns 1 and 2 while you wait for you opponent to finish up so you can drop Ikiryo and Shikome on them.

  2. I like your set of Models. though I agree with some of the others that Crookedmen and Drowned will really help you, the models you have here will be great.

First off I pretty much always attach the Avatar to Seamus. Making him go from Shooter to hitter is a nasty swap, and he is really strong all around once Manifested. And when you decide to take the Avatar you pretty much need a full cache, so set aside 2 stones for the Avatar, and 6 for the cache. (7 is ok, but try not to go lower)

    Now the Crew.

First thing I always want is a Hitter. A-Seamus is a monster in Melee but I always try and drop my opponents best hitter before Seamus pops so he has less competition. From your set I would take Either Bette or a Hanged. A Hanged with a Grave Spirit is really tough, so I might try that Combo out. Either way, set out another 9 Stones.

Next is Seamus Gal's I would grab 2 Rotten Belles, they are tough, fast when he's around. And great for board control.

That right there is 25 Stones. Seamus, Avatar, Grave Spirit, Hanged, 2 Belles.

For 30 I would just add in an Onryo. They can help remove peoples WP immunities which is nice with this list and they are decent offensively.

I strongly recomend getting a set of Crooked men for your next purchase. They can fill a lot of roles for ressers. And are criminally cheap.

Outside of that I would look into a new hitter too. My personal favorite is the Dead Rider, but I think Izamu once released will be rather awesome too

So a few other points to make. #1 He does no need Von Schill. No resser master does. They stand alone perfectly.

Seamus pre-manifest is not a melee guy. He's a shooter and has the best gun in the game. Post Manifest he is a Melee master. But isn't a dedicated Melee Guy like Lady J and the Vicks. He has control aspects to go along with his Melee.

Use your Belles to Drag models into Seamus' pistol range and focus shots at them. Being able to cheat in that 7 damage severe is huge.

  3. Weight of Ages is his best ability. That damage output can get scary fast. There is no :ranged icon on it, so blast it into Melee.

And holy cow Melee master!! 5ap on this guy once he gets going. Charge for a (1), attack 2 more times and then start busting out the Weight of Ages.

The Chi paths are gonna be a lot of fun for him. Do I want to be a full on caster and get Riggor Mortis? or do I want to get Def 7 and go charge into Melee and bust up some fools.

    So... when does he release?

  4. I ran mine with Marcus over the weekend 1 time against Gremlins she was amazing. Killed 3 Bayou's in 1 round, and then nearly got Ophelia too.

    Got mine painted too.

But she seems to completely replace the Cerberus

  5. Firstly, the guys at gamers longue mentioned that all you wanted the drowned to do is riptide, is it that when riptide is cast that even if the target resists, all models within 2" still have to make the df check?

No it has to hit for this go off. Riptide is worth cheating the 9+ in to cast it though.

2nd, what masters are the drowned good for? I currently have nico and kirai (not sure if levi can take them) and im adding mcmourning soon and will probably add seamus so i can 100% a faction

I love taking 2 of them with both Seamus and Kirai. Nico needs corpses too much to run spirits. I would likely also take them with McM, but haven't yet.

    3. What other tricks do the drowned have that im probably missing? What minions do they synergize well with?

Im not kidding when I say stop reading their card. Its really underwhelming to read their rules. Just know that Drive by Purpose, Riptide, and their 4" expolosion are amazing. You can ping a lot of your opponents crew with a single drowned, 2 is even better. The big things to remember are that you have to run them up front of your crew, you don't care if they die, and always keep moving them closer and closer to the bulk of your opponents crew. They dont work well defending a flank or taking out a single target, their job is to soften up a whole bunch of Models so your other stuff can clean them up.

  6. Well Clearly I would have won the whole thing has I played Nico =)

As for the Watcher, I usually just track them down and kill them before Seamus Manifests. His gun kills them on Min damage. and there are enough decently fast models to track it down. I don't know, its never really been an issue for me i guess.

Also Seamus has a lot more tactics then just be terrifying once manifested. He is still a heavy hitter with Arm 2 and by spamming with Bellowing of the Big Bastard with Gorgon's Miasma he can make a guild crew run for the hills.
