  1. Forum Handle: Svenn City/Metro Area: Maryland - Baltimore or DC Game Shop (if you have one): Preferred days/times: Weekday Evenings after 6pm. Any time on the weekends. Other comments: I'm fairly busy, but I can make time when necessary. I also have a few friends around the area that play tabletop games and I'm just getting them into Malifaux as well.
  2. Very nice! I love the Red Hat on Seamus. I've been going back and forth on doing that Red or Blue.
  3. Pretty cool stuff. I'm about to start painting the Red Chapel gang so it's cool to see the minis painted other than the professionally painted pictures on the box.
  4. Hey guys, I don't actually have any Malifaux minis painted just yet (my Redchapel box set just arrived today, expect to see those painted soon) but I figured I'd show off some of my other minis in the meantime. Before Malifaux my primary game was Mordheim. I have a Possessed army there. Here are some screenshots of that army, mostly default models except the Possessed, on which I added the third arm. http://tabletopgeeks.com/svenns-possessed-warband/ A few months ago I did a few conversions for some mutants as well to add to this warband. I'm somewhat proud of the spikes on the Marauder Mutant. http://tabletopgeeks.com/finished-mutant/ http://tabletopgeeks.com/daemonette-mutant-wip/ I also played Warhammer Fantasy for a short while. This was my first attempt at painting many many years ago, so these minis aren't so great. Here are my High Elves. http://tabletopgeeks.com/svenns-high-elves/ Can't wait to get my Malifaux minis painted. I really love the Mad Hatter mini. Now if only I could decide on a color scheme...
  5. I was thinking card slips too, but figured since I bought a lamination machine... I was worried about the deck getting too big as well. I'm a little guy.
  6. I just bought a lamination machine... Anyone tried laminating the fate deck? I want my cards to stay in good condition!
  7. When I posted this my order hadn't arrived yet so I hadn't seen the minis or the cards. I did notice them when I got my stuff though. I think I'll try and get those laminated immediately. I'm still considering using a sheet of paper to track everything though. I'm a big fan of keeping the playing field as open as possible, so not placing dice/counters all over the place to track stuff. I'd rather just write most of it down. Oh, and thanks for the link for those steampunk inserts! Those look like great scrap counters. @LDP - I had a leather pouch with probably 50 or more little gem counters in it that I used to use for Magic: The Gathering probably 12 years ago. I JUST got rid of that pouch along with all of my cards about 2-3 months ago because they sat untouched for years. :sad2:
  8. I'm curious how everyone tracks Wounds and anything else (scrap counters also come to mind) necessary during their games. Do you have counters for each model? Do you have a sheet of paper with each models wounds written on it? Some other way? I've only played the one game so far and we didn't even have our models or anything yet (mine should be here today! yay!) and we just had a sheet of paper where we wrote down remaining wounds. It seemed to work pretty well.
  9. My rulebook has been ordered! I'm excited!
  10. Hey all, I am Svenn. I just found Malifaux recently and haven't started playing yet. It looks very interesting and I can't wait to get my rulebook! I've poked around a little on the forums and it looks nice over here. Currently I play Mordheim and hang out on Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum. I also run a tabletop gaming website, Tabletop Geeks. I'm excited to be here! Can't wait to get into Malifaux!
