  1. I consider pre-assembled a pretty big bonus. I mean, it's nice of Wyrd to have the option later.

But personally I enjoy painting and playing, not so much gluing. And it will allow you to introduce new people to the game, sell them on a box, rip it open and play immediately.

I can't tell you how many people I got to buy a Malifaux starter only to have them walk out the door with their box and never come back - and I have to think if that assembly barrier to entry was lowered and we could have played then and there, they would have stuck around.

So I would expect this to mean more players/opponents/friends in the future.

    Big fan of this move.

" 26. Conflux of Combat: Deconstruction rewritten. 27. Conflux of Thunder: The Thunder Calls rewritten" This is a bit confusing, as it doesn't say where you can find the rewritten rules.

Those were basically just notes to look at the updated PDFs. But that errata was made before any official cards were printed, so if you're using Conflux cards that you got with your models (as opposed to playing out of the book) you're already good to go.

Awesome job on everything! More questions had been piling on for years and it's great to see it all getting a good clean up. Very good rulings. Aaron was perfectly positioned to take over M2E. Not a micron off.

It's cool, one does not need a self-esteem to design Malifaux.

A lack of self-esteem does seem to be essential to the feedback process.

There is too much to reply to, but thanks for all the kind words, everyone! It means so much to me. :)

Justin I'm so glad we had the opportunity to meet and work together even if it was for a short time. Thanks for helping me settle in making my first few weeks fun. We will continue your work to make Malifaux a better game with every release.

You will be missed! Thanks for everything you've done for me, personally, and for the company. I can't wait to see what you do next, and to totally try to show you up! :)

Justin will be with us a few more weeks, so get your time with him now.

And on a related note to the community... expect a job posting for a certain opening in the coming days!

    Oh, it's on!

Thanks for taking the helm. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with. :)

(not trying to sound snarky) Is anything being (or planning to be) done about it? At least some FAQ rebalances in the works?
ie. abilities that affect scheme markers at the end of the game (lucius, mcm) where these days schemes score every turn.

@Justin: Also wondering, did the fact that Francisco has such an amazing ability influence the design of other models?

    Done about what?

I'm not really in the camp that thinks Guild as a whole is underpowered. As I said I do agree they lack upgrades. We've made the numbers on the generalist Upgrade deck public. You should check out how many upgrades Guild have compared to other Factions...

Ooh, they look fantastic! I'm very interested in seeing what the new minions (enforcers?) in the middle are, and what Carlos and the unknown lady do too!

She is not unknown. She is printed somewhere...

I have a theory that resser undead minions are maybe to hard to balance because of summoning etc. so i think (and i may very well be wrong - i hope so actually) that there won't be any new resser undead minions in book 4.

Maybe these guys here are also mercs and can be hired by ressers (maybe even without paying the extra stone - a guy can hope) and therefore would kinda be that, but without the ability to get summoned by the likes of nicodem because there not actually ressers.

I was so sad to get no new minions in book 3 and the shieldbearers from the new box look rather ... fresh. *sigh*

    maybe ...just maybe

I'm not gonna say what's in book 4, but your balancing theory is incorrect, which I assume will make you happy. :)

EVERYTHING was bonkers in the first wave 3 beta file, though. Obsidian Oni and the Shadowy Emissary could both easily get 6+ damage per attack, as I recall. The models were all intentionally overpowered so we would be more likely to try them out and work out how much weaker they needed to be. I SUSPECT that the sort of unreasonably high expectations this put in people's minds is part of why we no longer get open betas.

    Yup.
