As much as I would like see a rebalancing with some models, I remember Malifaux 1E when Sonnia had something like 3 different versions of her card on the market and it was just a huge pain to make sure you were using the right one.
Personally see this as a lose lose situation. Don't do anything and you get balance issues (you could see that in the Wave 3 beta for Gremlins imo where no one was really happy with Sparks because it was too hard to balance her along all the great henchman Gremlins already have). Do try and address it and the game starts to get ridiculously complicated forcing people to make sure they are using the right version of the card.
edit: personally instead of cuddling existing models, I would rather see Wyrd follow a similiar trend to Privateer Press and try to change the meta more. Maybe release some models that prevent your own models from being lured, or that make summoning harder.

kind of iffy on the shapeshift rules. This might be bad experiences from 3.5 D&D, but tend to find any ability that lets the player browse a monster manual tends to be a very overpowered ability.

Maybe instead of outright losing control of their characters you can have increasing difficult WP duels to prevent the character giving into blood lust. If they fail they have to charge/attack the closest character.

So. Does anyone use Exorcists with the good old Doctor turning everyone Undead?
I use that combination a lot. One thing to be careful though is the Exorcist can affect himself with Damning Oratory. I've only think I've seen banish to oblivion work once, but it got a Von Schill.

But the original thread was related to a Gremlin model.....unless there is a secret Guild/Gremlin alliance? GG?
Kind of sad about the disengagement ruling, also the lack of a ruling on the Child and Sonnia.

Okay what are the draws that people see in bugs? I always found with DF5, WD6 and no real defensive abilities they tend to do fast.Their damage ignores armour which is nice, but a lot of other Gremlin models have longer shooting that hits harder and their 0 really forces you to be very close to the enemy or to bunch your models up (not to mention they are card heavy).

Neverborn: Also a tough one. Widow Weaver, Black Blood Shaman and Stitched would be good to see in plastic. If I had to pick one would go with the Shaman
Gremlins: Sammy. Though the wave 3 Mechanized Porkchop and Surviviors would also be high on my list
Arcanist: Coryphees or Arcane Effigy

Crossing the breach affects everyone different. Most people are fine, just reporting a brief tickling sensation. For some crossing the breach awakens hidden talents, and for others it unhinges the mind. Most of those that are driven insane are quickly taken care of just the nature of Malifaux. Wandering into the quarantine zones or the wilds they are seldom heard from again. A few though desperately try to battle the insanity by grabbing onto any foundation they can. A few of those fighters have managed to find peace by patching onto the foundation that is Guild law. These handful of men are joking referenced to as clerics by the population, as they wander the streets and hold impromptu sermons preaching the Guilds law. Originally wanting to arrest these "clerics" before they made a mockery of Guild law, some guardsmen interrupted one of their sermons. Upon arriving though the guardsmen were amazing at the following these clerics had. People seem hypnotized just listening to these lunatics rave about the Guild and the Guild law. Instead of arresting these mad men, the guild has recruited them into their services to remind the population of the law.
Aestheitc: I see the Clerics as madmen that the Guild has dressed up in fancy robes and Guild symbols. Should be a ripped/drity robe and wild hair.Gameplay. Mainly see them as a support minion. Brings different "sermons" that buff the Guild. Figure different abilities could be likeSermon of Passport PapersSermon of CurfewSermon of Prohibition-

The big rulebook states that you apply an abilities text after the duel succeeds (pg 37).
I would say text like you get a + to hit is an exception to the time when that text normally goes off (and exceptions on cards override big rulebook).
Though if Wong hits and flips a black joker on damage would the pulse still go off? I recall reading somewhere the BJ means the duel failed, but can't actually find that text now that I'm looking for it. Closet I can find is pg 47 which mentions since the BJ does no damage after damage and whikle damaging triggers don't go off.

Stat Modifiers
These are the simplest way to modify a duel or flip. Stat modifiers are presented as a bonus or penalty to a stat under certain conditions. For instance, a model might gain +2 to its Sh on any Attack against a target within 6”. In these cases, the Sh of the model is increased accordingly, but only for the purposes of resolving the duel.
Alternatively, the model might receive a bonus to the total, rather than the stat. In these cases, simply add the bonus to the total whenever it is calculated.

The +2 from confiscated lore is never applied till Sonnia takes a Ca action. Sonnia has the condition. The Chile does not. The child taking a 1 action. Which is copying one of Sonnia's (1) actions. Sonnia is not doing any duels so no +2 to her Ca.
Is the intent that all stat modifiers are only applied during duels? That one example is based off the model only getting the +2SH for attack actions which is very different from Sonnia's condition that has no apply under certain conditions. It just says she gains +2 to the stat she chooses.

They really need to errata the child to say to use the printed CA value or the master's CA value at -3.
The way confiscated lore is worded it is an increase to Sonnia's Stat not to her CA actions.

I tried hard to make a pigapult crew with somer but i could not get it to work on paper at all.. can you post your idea how it would look like ? Your optimal somer crew around pigapult.
All i get is a crew that would waste to much point in throwing bought pigs and no SS worth rebuilder of pigs that will cripple atleast 2-3 other models.

Metal Ophelia is a good Trixie proxy IMO. Just change the gun to a bottle or a wine glass.
Not sure on Sammy. I have an old female hog whisperer that I use.

While I like the idea, you are one model short. I was under the impression that Henchman Hardcore had to be exactly 4 models.
When I played it was up to 4 models, you didn't get any extra SS and no summoning. Strat was turf war and for Schemes we had 3 and could pick 1 (Assassinate, Vendetta and Murder Protégé).
If I had to get 1 more model I would drop the upgrades on Ryle and take the Govonor's Proxy.

While Ryle is only SH5, he does get built in positives and with Franciso and Badge of Office can be really tanky. Death Marshall's I found were pretty great in this format -

So Wong's lightning jump has an interesting part of it's action.

So my question if Wong hit's someone with Lightning Jump can he do the pulse action before the trigger to see if it damages any other models and then push the models hurt by the pulse?
