7 possible swings an activation at MI 6 and range 2? Not too shabby for a blind person.

Yes, possible. If you and your opponent make this possible. In the similar setup Viks have possible 7-12 swings at MI 7 for cheaper. I'm not saying she is bad, just this argument does not appeal to me.

Many Guards models have access to  Mi/Sh 7 attacks with Pursue, very situational right, but every model has it, so some of them have to be activated later and use it. I do not see a problem giving her a MI 7. Other proposal to give her Greatsword trigger old Pistoleros had:  Precision: Immediately increase this model's final duel total by 1 for each :ToS-Ram: in the final duel total
Or even it could be Injured condition (instead Stunned), to help her with next swings.

I see some internal contradiction with Restore the Natural Order, she "generate" some conditions from her actions and next probably she remove them, sometime she won't use it because it ruin your other setup, for example when you made some effort to put on some models "Adversary (Marshal)" condition. And DM/DMR have ShrugOff anyway, so they do not need RtNO so much. So I'd like to add to Inspiring Swordplay some non-condition benefit: Heals 1/2/3 or Push 3" towards enemy.

Decay...... on the other hand, just feels out of character.  😐

The same for me, I like the Paired Pistols from other topic.

  2. Blood Ward upgrade has:

Models with the Warding Runes Upgrade gain the following ability while within LoS of this model:

Protection from the Blood: This model is immune to Conditions caused by enemy models, and damage from :pulse effects.

Does Protection removes Conditions like Burning/Poison (put by enemy) which exist on model before he gets Immunity? Does game "remember" who puts Condition on model?

  3. Firestarter casts BUUUURRRN! (Ca 6:tomes / Rst: Df / Rg:ranged 10): Target suffers 1/3/4 damage and gains the Burning +1 Condition. This Attack must declare a trigger if able.

:masks Never Enough: After succeeding, flip a card for each model within :pulse 4 of the target. This may not be cheated. The model with the lowest card suffers 2 damage and gains the Burning +1 Condition.

and hit a model. There is another model within :pulse 4 with Evasive ability .

Evasive: This model is immune to damage caused by :pulse effects.

So, does the second model suffer from "Never Enough"?

    FAQ says

Q: Does being immune to damage caused by pulses make a model immune to the damage caused by

failing a Simple Duel, if the Simple Duel was generated by a pulse?

    A: Yes.

But I'm not sure this is such case.

  4. Not literally, but

(p28) To resolve a disengaging strike, the enemy models that are engaged with the moving model may choose to take a free Attack Action with any one Close attack ...

But it would be strange that it stops damage and triggers for attacker but not for defender (Reposte, Cage Fighter, Fiery Determination, Knock Aside, Soulless, Leap Aside)

For me it should stops any effects, damage, triggers during attack action.

  5. But why it doesn't just say "Attack Flips receive :+fate"?

Yes, Strike in this case means Attack (as one of its form), but Damage Flip is a part of Strike Attack Sequence, so maybe it receive :+fate for Damage Flip as well?

It looks like attacks against models with Ca +6 are focused.

I know it is old wording, so probably you are right, but wanted to know how it's used.

    Thanks.

  6. Thanks for game Balefirestorm. It was great fun as always with Malifaux.

It was first time I faced Lilith and expect bloody battle ;)

However my opponent was focused on his strategy (successfully) and it disrupt my plans :) When I realized it I didn't have chance to re-conquer any quarter - time ended.

The best was Turn 5. Few misfires and charge of Young Nephilim to my Judge. When I survived charge strike (only 2 wounds) I was sure Judge was save. Nephilim strike again, but with [-][-] for damage flip I didn't expected any severe damage. Until I saw Red Joker :)

  7. Nice work.

You don't tell me that you're holding a good hand with your 13 ram, 13 tome, 10 tome, and 8 ram.

So, you decide to give it everything you've got to protect the Judge and you cheat that 8raven away by placing the 13 tome in the midst of the fun.

You say, "I'm cheating" and you drop the 13 ram and discard the 6 raven. Your total's at 19 ram/ram. Difference in attack value of 8 for an unmodified damage flip.

You cheat with the 13 tome still in your hand. "Five damage, huh?"

    Note. To many 13s cheated.

    A little fix is needed.

For the last one you may use a 11 (instead of 10 in drawing hand - lets say: 13 ram, 13 tome, 11 tome, 8 ram, 3 mask.)

11 is good for the second case too ( so it could be 11 ram, 13 tome, 11 tome, 8 ram, 3 mask)

    But ... ;)

Judge's Cb value on my card is 5 :malirams (I cannot check a book), so in

    You flip and it's a 6 raven so you're at 12 raven/ram.

we need a 7raven flip here or increase starting hand to: 12 ram, 13 tome, 11 tome, 8 ram, 3 mask.
