Sorry, don't mean to raise an old thread, but I had a question on a similar issue.

Do ranged Abilities count as ranged Spells insofar as they cannot be used while a model is engaged?

I'm new to playing and I had a game against a Dreamer crew. A Stitched Together was Engaged in Melee but still using it's ranged Abilities on models other than the one it was Engaged with.

So, do Abilities ignore the Engaged rule that applies to ranged attacks and spells?

A quick one, if you are playing treasure hunt and either The Dreamer or LCB have the treasure and they are either slain and replaced, or buried and replaced do they retain the treasure token?

I would assume that since they are not the same model that they would drop the counter, not retain it.

I tried a search and didn't see this, sorry if it was covered elsewhere.

Whoa, that is a crazy amount of time to spend on siding for a house no one will live in.

The siding looks awesome though, hope you get it done in a reasonable amount of time.

If you want to save both both time from making individual bases and money from buying resin you have another option.

You could go the wood skewer and string route and just make a simple green stuff press mould of the finished base afterwards.

You have your nice bamboo base, but you only have to model it up once, then press down blobs of green stuff, like a cookie cutter, to detail your bases for the rest.

Make a 30 mm, 40 mm and a 50 mm in one go and you don't have to do it again. Just keep your originals in case your mould ever deteriorates.

Those impassable terrain markers look great.

I am NOT nit-picking, but couldn't you find little sewing items to save some sculpting time? They look great, but seem time intensive.

That being said, I can't wait to see them painted up.

Everything is looking fantastic. 5 or more boxes of resin on a terrain project is a pretty hefty investment of time and money, ouch.

If there is a bright side to the money sink it is that the scenery does look great.

You also do not necessarily need to buy old watches. My friend just jumped on ebay and amazon and searched for loose watch bits. He found small pouches, plenty for bases or terrain, for pretty cheap.

I've used some of the trench works bases from secret weapon miniatures. Most of them have wood and mud mixes, but a few were just wood beams.

They are resin, so same read up on resin rules as mentioned before. Service is quick and the price is right. Very little flashing on the bases and minor sanding needed, if any.

Another good alternative. Plus, they come in the right bases sizes.

Nice dark scheme. the red ribbon is a good contrast.

Selfish request - when you get up to making Victorian buildings, could you put up a few basic tips, tricks, or average measurements?

I've banged out a few ramshackle wood cabins, but I was contemplating some Victorian buildings. I would love to see some building tips.

I'm no Golden Demon level painter, but I've always been of the opinion that building the entire figure first is a good idea.

If you are looking for decent tabletop quality then you don't have to worry so much about bits and places that no one can see without close scrutiny. A dark base coat helps smooth over many little things like that. The unpainted portion will simply look like it is in a shadowed area.
