  1. My only complaints are that I want these today and I already have painting backlog that these two are going to jump.
  2. This was a great event, thanks for running it.
  3. Those gupp eggs are a great idea. I assume we'll be seeing some copy cats. Nice stuff.
  4. Lovely, I can't wait for pictures of the next board.
  5. It does make it easier to save for Gencon purchases. Small bright side.
  6. I'll check my settingson FPM. Love the mag and have every issue. Well worth the price
  7. Just downloaded, they need an email reminder or something though
  8. It'd be a shame to drop that hard work., but i know how it is when something just doesn't feel good as you paint it.
  9. Sold! I must say, I really dig this mag and hope it sticks around a while.
  10. I also have a pair of round parts tweezers from Micro-Mark. Easier to use or arms and other rounded bits than regular flat head pliers or tweezers.
  11. Wow, that is an awesome way to show an invisible and scary creature.
  12. Wow, they look great. I am still undecided on what color scheme to go with my Tara crew. I've seen so many great looks for the nothing beast. Yours definitely ranks up there on color choice and execution.
  13. Ditto on the case comments. That looks awesome.
  14. If you are worried about the spray paint eating away at the board, you could always buy a small pot of indoor latex paint. You can buy it in whatever color you were going to use and save a step as well.
  15. Another easy resin bubble fix is to use watered down milliput (the regular grey kind). Water it down to milk like consistency then brush it on like a thin coat of paint. I've used that method to fill in pits since the rogue trader 40k days. cheap and easy and very easy to sand down without scraping too hard. Old lead models were easy to take chunks from, along with a thumb, when using an exacto knife to scrape.
  16. Wow, those are great. I'll have to try and give a few of those a shot.
  17. Go for the elf mage and thanks for the quick pastel overview. I'll have to give it a try.
  18. And purchased. I totally dig the magazine.
  19. Magnets and options would be great. These are such time investments, you may as well have all the different poses prepped. Also, random question on the pastel shading. How heavy or light of a clear coat do you use? Also, i assume a spray coat and not a brush on?
  20. Nifty idea, that sounds like it will be a heavy time investment for a battle report though. I agree that the bases standing out works fine. Certainly interested in updates.
  21. Great work, and thanks for taking the time to photograph and write about everything. It was cool to see something like this come along. So, are you using your new airbrush skills to work on some Malifaux minis next, or on to another garage kit?
  22. Looks good so far. Are you going to add anything than the track to dress up the entrance? Maybe some loose scatter terrain themed to the area, so you are not locked in to the same terrain set up. Old carts, piles of loose debris, or something like that.
  23. I can also be heavy handed with the squeeze bottle glue. I'd agree that using a pin head or toothpick from a blob you drop on some sort of scrap plastic or palette is a great way to keep the glue from running all over the place. Good Luck fixing your mini. I hate when things break after painting. I got into the habit of pinning just about everything that is large enough to take a pin. More up front work, but tighter joins can prevent some later damage. The green stuff and glue combo is also a method that works well, but i usually avoid it on smaller joins as the green stuff may end up being more work when it squishes from a small seam.
