Having painted a ton of Guild models for other people I've finally had some time to paint up some of my own Guild Models. I decided to stick with a uniform color scheme on these. You can see more photos here.
-
I've used this Envirotex Lite product for most of my boards. As long as you have it painted you shouldn't have an issue.
-
Looking forward to seeing all the eastside Malifaux players tomorrow. I'll be bringing as many Malifaux themed boards as I can fit in my car.
Don't forget to bring your log sheets for the Dead Heat Campaign!
-
Nice I used the same one for my Guild crew.
I'll be up at Gamer's Gauntlet On July 3, from 6-10 for demos, open gaming and to collect Dead Heat Results.
-
Thanks to everyone that made it out last night, pretty impressive turn out for the first night of Malifaux at this location.
Just a reminder if you're playing any additional games for Dead Heat or didn't turn in your results last night, please PM me or email: jmp_mydog@yahoo.com; so I can get them in for this week.
Next week I'll bring more Malifaux specific tables.
@Rhellion looking forward to seeing you there, if you don't mind me asking what type of bases did you pick up?
-
Bumping to get this back on the first page. Looks like we're going to have a decent turn out based on feedback I've received from the local community.

Seriously, does anyone here not try to get 8 or close to 8 stones for Nicodem to drop Rigor Mortis everywhere possible? (If he is not surrounded by Immune to Influence annoying constructs...)
Honestly for all Res Masters I think you need to have the max cache. If I play a game with fewer than 6-7 stones, the number of times you fail to cast or summon is painful.
-
Yeap as I thought the other nights are booked up, and I'd rather not have to share space with Yugio and Warmahorde players.

Gamer's Gauntlet is hosting Malifaux Gaming. I'll be on hand for Demos and to coordinate open gaming. Come on in an log your games for the Dead Heat Campaign and stay tuned to this thread for future events.
Each week I'll bring in a few custom terrain boards for use and the store has plenty of nice terrain and tables available.
Where: Gamer's Gauntlet 20564 Hall Road Charter Township of Clinton, MI 48038
When: Tuesday Nights from 6:30pm-10:00pm (Starting June 26th)
What: Demos and Open Gaming
I'm looking forward to seeing you there.

Glad to see some new blood down at RIW.
-
Thanks Dave, ideally I'd like to do this on Thursdays, however I'm trying to work around the stores schedule for the night that works best for them. I'll post updates in this thread as I have them.
-
From what I understand they've had multiple requests for the game so the should start carrying it soon. I'm pretty sure a regular demo night will bring the players in.
You used to play at Pandy didn't you?

Looking for Malifaux Players in Metro Detroit from the east side. I'm in the process of setting up a regular Malifaux night at Gamer's Gauntlet (20564 Hall Road Charter Township of Clinton, MI 48038).
I wanted to check on the boards to see how many players are interested in playing Malifaux at this location on Tuesday nights. For me this is going to be closer than making the drive to Livonia every Tuesday.

Loving these, been away for a while and it's odd to see so much Res whining on the forums. Glad to see not everyone feels that way.

When I read that part I got a full body shiver...not on a good way.
FYI: stangely enough neither of these movies are on Netflix?! :banghead:
At some point they were because I saw the first one on there, I think it was part of the Starz Play stuff though.
-
Well, thats just effed up there...
Wow and I thought the first ones was terrible enough, they made a second ......
-
Interesting idea, I hope to make it back out once things with the new kid are on some type of normal schedule.
-
I let slip a few profanities after seeing your progress. Very inspiring, the layout looks very fun to play on. How many different molds are you currently using from hirst? And maybe which ones?
Maybe you should label it a nsfw pic though, i was on my break so no harm done but I couldve offended someone with my jealous sailor mouth
From Hirst I use:
large cobblestone squares
fieldstone block
ruin feildstone
gothic bridge
cavern accessories
small pipes
The brick wall and street sections are from a mold I made myself.
Someone has been remiss in posting updates (I have been checking your site 3-4 times a day). Aside from that this board just continues to impress. The 50 lbs weight isn't that bad either (the size is probably more of a hindrance for transportation).
I should have some more updates coming soon ...
-
So I had a chance to test drive the board on Tuesday and I'm pretty happy with how it works so far. It does weigh less than 50 pounds so it's not super hard to transport.
Once I finish detailing and painting the base I'll work on adding buildings designed around the board.
-
I'll be bringing my WIP Downtown board tonight so anyone who wants get a game in let me know.
-
This just keeps getting better and better looking. Just wondering how much all that plaster weighs currently?
Not sure yet haven't tried picking it up ...
-
This is awesome. Please tell me you are going to hit those walls up with some Wyrd graffiti. Or I may sneak into your district and do it while you sleep.
I haven't decided if I want to do graffiti on the back of the wall or a dimensional Malifaux logo.
-
So the basic construction is just about done, just need some minor details to clean up the transitions and I can move on to painting.
-
Smaller tends to be better for Malifaux. I like to have most elements 5" in diameter or smaller.
You can view some of the terrain I've done here.
Any love for Killjoy?

This is my favorite use of him. Try (3) Necropunks and Killjoy in a small game, it winds up pretty hit or miss you either do amazing or lose terribly. But it's loads of fun.
