  1. So the :pulse basically supersedes all targeting restrictions imposed by the ranged icon? It cannot be used in melee, which makes sense. I was expecting LoS to be a factor, unlike Detonate Tanks, if only due to the inclusion of the :ranged (which Detonate Tanks lacks), and it makes sense that LoS would come into play considering the fluff. Still, thanks for the ruling.

He's spinning around really fast and firing his gun.

Why do you think that a Pulse needs LoS?

  2. So:

    1. Santiago cannot use this in melee, due to the ranged icon?

    Correct.

    2. Despite the ranged icon, I assume no randomization for melee, everyone is targeted by the pulse? I'm not sure about this. What about the +1 Df for being in melee? It's not a Strike, but it is an attack, so I'm on the fence either way.

It's not a Ranged Attack in the normal notion. No Randomization as there are no "Targets".

    3. Does cover come into play in a Df resist duel? Does cover only apply to opposed Strikes, or does it apply here?

    No. See above.

    4. The ranged icon would indicate that Santiago needs LoS, even if a model is within the pulse?

No. It's a Pulse. The Ranged Icon is so he cannot use it in Melee.

  3. Official Wyrd run events will not score Tournament Points, Victory Points or Differential Points based upon painting.

As per the Gaining Ground Document, all Crews played in Official Wyrd run events need to be fully painted. The actual scores won't be affected.

Local events can use whatever their local group agrees upon paint wise, or whatever rules their TO sets up.

  4. Just to be clear, you can tie the final result, does that mean you must still flip for a starting result - and cheat down when necessary or can you jump right in and say you'll tie the result

    Sorry for the necro

To be clear. It's stated above that if it is a Resist Duel (Resisting a Spell) then you must Flip for the Resist first, then you may decide to tie.

  5. Amazing. Wyrd actually reacted to the feedback and issued some errata! There's hope yet.

Maybe this will start a chain reaction of them errata'ing all of the other things that they need to errata too.

Wyrd does listen and we do always constantly think about things like this.

Some take a bit of discussion as well as other tasks that need performing.

Thanks for all of your patience. ;)
