  1. Um. My problem with Twilight is content, not the writing. I'll freely admit to the fact that I haven't read it, so I can't comment on that. My problem is that this is a series that implicitly, or explicitly, teaches girls that abusive relationships are perfectly fine, that relationships that should be dropped and are frankly insane are fine...Yeah. That's where the core of my problems comes from.

  2. You aren't the only one who writes rules, don't take it so personally. It's not an indictment, it's the reality of what happens when you try to bodge something because what you've already done isn't fit for purpose. The current reactivate/fast/etc mechanics are exactly that. You have two options, either work around it or rewrite it. Working around it is almost universally the worst option, and is almost always a bodge job when a rewrite is often the cleanest.

The reality actually is: You don't know what goes on in rules development for Malifaux. You can assume all day long, but the facts are not in your sphere of knowledge.

But to get back on topic, the situation is being looked at.

  3. :blast is blast damage, regardless of what spawned it, be it gunshot, spell, or melee strike. It's blast damage. The only exception is if its magical blast damage or nonmagical blast damage.

Bulletproof does not work against :blast

    This is correct.

Hey, Look at me, im an unanswered thread!

Look at you. Marshals are busy with multitudinous tasks and cannot answer every thread, especially when the community has already answered it.

I recently noticed that the Gunsmiths Leadstorm spell has a damage profile of: :ranged:pulse 6. Clearly indicating that area effects and attack type can coexist. Including the :ranged in the leadstorm ability makes it a ranged attack (even though the damage is distributed by an area effect) and threfore benefits from "The Hard Way".

    and also: *bump*

And also, one question per thread.

The :ranged in in there to preclude him from using it in melee.

  4. it would already be affected by Does Not Die. models cannot benefit from multiple copies of the same ability unless specified in the abilities rules.

Tograth has it. It is more a mute point unless the stitched gets reactivate from a source other then does not die.

    Incorrect.

Does Not Die is not a lingering effect.

Each and every time the Stitched Together is killed, Does Not Die triggers.

  5. Harmless

Enemy models must win aWp→12 Duel when targeting this model with an attack or the Action immediately fails. Harmless ends when this model performs an Action other than the (1) Walk or (1) Pass Action. Models with the Terrifying and Ruthless Abilities ignore the Harmless Ability.

The model Lucius uses Issue Command on has to perform the Wp Duel as it is the model targeting the Harmless model.

  6. HA! Thanks Ed!

In Dragons of Autumn Twilight, the bad guys cast a spell on Tanis HALF-ELVEN that makes him fall asleep... as to the Pegasi... wouldn't work... he's got Elven blood and would therefore be immune to said spells...

*shakes head at the lack of continuity*

Krynn was different than your run of the mill D&D universes.

  7. because an individual crouched behind a wall would be able to avoid the storm of lead simply by keeping his head down, whereas some poor sap caught out in the open wouldn't be so lucky.

Pulses are infinitly high and therefore can draw los to anyone behind anything, regardless of ht. That said, a ranged attack cannot, and it would make sense (in terms of fluff) for the bullets from leadstorm to adhere to the los rules imposed by the :ranged.

But, from a strict rules perspective, if pulse properties supersede ranged restrictions, that makes sense as well. As we all know, rules and balance trump fluff-based logic everytime, and with good reason.

    blam blam blam pt-eeeowww!!
