Terrain - better terrain is a valid point. If anyone has specific suggestions (after all, you know better than me what works in a tournament setting), send me a message about it, and I'll get back to you.

Tournaments - We had space remaining for all of the tournaments last year. Running them is a huge investment for us, so I'm not sure it makes sense to add more. Perhaps details about the tournaments could be improved - time, type, etc.

Hi everyone. Wyrd's really looking forward to Gen Con 2015, and we'd like to know if there are any event suggestions you'd like to give us. Any suggestions and feedback are welcome.

No, there won't be a different US shipping option added.

However, we at Wyrd are firm believers in your body; your choice, so if holding gets you the jollies, go ahead. Though we'd add the disclaimer that you do it near a couch.

No worries. I wasn't complaining, just listing the info that other posters had stated.  Postage/Shipping rates are what they are.  Nothing to be done about.

But I got all offended and found my fighting gloves, er, head-choppin' off tools so I could do this ..

Regarding US Shipping

The 2-day FedEx option is not a glitch. Wyrd's rate with FedEx ensures that 2-day shipping is the best option for price and delivery - slower options wouldn't save money. Wyrd does not ship through USPS.

Casey can you give us a rough idea when the Strat/Scheme Decks and the Wave 2 decks will be available at retail? Same with the new crew boxes? 

Strat/Schemes & Arsenal - October

New Crew boxes - we won't have that announcement ready until after Gen Con. It's Oct-Jan release time frame.

Strat/Scheme Decks at Booth - yes, there are some at the show. Just as with the web store, there are a limited number available.

Ikvar - the Gencon releases are only limited by their availability during Gencon, not by the number of miniatures cast.  All orders made over the Gencon weekend are honoured so there is no need to ensure that you are getting online immediately (unlike Black Friday deals which sold off leftover miniatures in limited numbers)

I was referring to the main painting competiton. I found the rules packet online and it looks like the answer is yes. If anyone else is curious about the Wyrd Manufacturer Awards for the Gencon Painting contest here's a link. It just says they'll be giving awards it doesn't say what though.

Yes! Wyrd is providing manufacturer's awards for the MHE Painting Competition. No! There is no cosmic right answer. But! The best brush will win.

There is no Wyrd painting contest this year. As in previous years, we're sponsoring Paint-and-Take and Wyrd Speed Painting events.

Expect a trickle of product updates over the next week. You probably already know what I just listed.

This is going to be great!  Is there a general strategy for where to meet up in the Events Hall for pick-up games of Malifaux

If you'd like, there will almost always be a spot in Wyrd's Events Hall space. Wyrd rents the table space for the con, so when we aren't holding Malifaux tournaments, our Malifaux tables are open for any Wyrd gameplay you'd like. (Justin will be around most of the day to answer questions.)

If you want to try to earn prizes for Malifaux game play, consider signing up for the Achievement League.

We always announce late to avoid any broken promises, and this year is no different. We'll update the first post in this thread when we have announcements about products. (You, and 10,000 other loyal forum members, will be the first to know.)
