Very nice, I like that the face doesn't have that gaunt runway model look to it.

If you go to their online store there's a section where you can order indivual parts from blisters. Do a search on the model number and it should turn up as a separate item.the spears are actually javelins and are put in a holder in the back of the shieldI think, I also think I have seen an old historical picture once of a warrior with the same setup, Im not sure it was greek tough.
can you get the skelly holding the book seperate ? I like him but not the witch.
I'll take the pirate girl and treasure with that
I like the greek one, but would probably trim of one of the javelins.

And it's not even painted either!

There's words here???? I just look at the pretty pictures!

To improve your adhesion between layers would be to sand the CD before you break it up.

It's a well done sculpt, but something about it leaves me "meh"

That is hilarious but what I want to know is why the guys on the rocket sled chair didn't get off when it started to rotated.
Oh, and note to self, don't sit on a massage chair in Japan.

I don't really like the sculpt but you and Sue have done an amazing job on it. I love that green on the wings. Looks like this guy would be quite at home in a deep forest or swamp.

Guess this one is classified somewhere between tabletop miniatures wargame and miniatures boardgame. Apparently it comes with a butt-load of plastic minis.
Los Altos, CA; Paris, France - September 8, 2006. Days of Wonder, a leading publisher of topquality board games, today announced their newest, most ambitious project to date, the BattleLore game system. The world of BattleLore meshes history and fantasy together- putting players in command of a vast array of miniature troops on the battlefields of a Medieval Europe Uchronia at the outset of the Hundred Years War.
Drawing on the strengths of its own best-selling and critically acclaimed Memoir ’44, Days of Wonder’s newest game takes the time-tested, card-driven mechanics to a whole new level and offers gamers and role-players a unique twist on epic fantasy. Game play takes place on a largescale hex board filled with armies, legendary races and monstrous creatures that fight over varied terrain and landmarks to capture the enemy’s banners in a series of unique Adventures. Powerful Lore Masters, such as Wizards, Clerics,
Warriors and Rogues gathered in customizable War Councils; Mercenary bands chosen from among mythical races such as the Iron Dwarves of Northern England; and Monstrous Creatures all complement the dizzying array of possibilities and tough choices that will face players as they venture in the World of BattleLore. Building on years of experience producing the industry’s most appealing board games, Days of Wonder raises the bar several notches higher with this new release. BattleLore’s over two hundred miniatures use a new patent-pending, Banner Bearer mechanic to provide both a visually stunning new look to a players’ armies and to display all the unit-specific information that was traditionally compiled in unwieldy army booklets, reference sheets, or hard-to-read wheelbases.
"Not just another game, or the latest game system fad, BattleLore is a foundation game for us - something we first envisioned long before we even started the company and that hearkens back to the days we first discovered Chainmail", said Days of Wonder CEO, Eric Hautemont. "As a project, BattleLore has been years in the making, yet what we are delivering this fall only lays the groundwork for the future. The coming years will hold many surprises for both resellers and game enthusiasts worldwide."
BattleLore includes: over 210 highly detailed plastic miniatures, including 58 banner bearers; an extensive Player's Guide, with separate Adventures Booklet; a double-sided battlemap; 46 Terrain and Landmark tiles; 60 Command cards; 60 Lore cards; 48 Summary cards; 2 War Council sheets; 24 Lore Master Tokens; 12 Battle dice; and a Days of Wonder Online Access Number, giving players free access to the BattleLore Online Adventures Editor. BattleLore is for 2 players (or 2 teams), ages 10 and up and takes approximately 60 minutes to play. The game is expected to be available in late November in both North America and Europe in English, French and German. Suggested retail price is US $70.00 and €70.00.
A promotional miniature, the Hill Giant, packed in a blister complete with figure, banner and lair, will be available through friendly local game stores and the Days of Wonder web site to any customer who pre-orders the game ahead of its actual release. A second promotional miniature, the Earth Elemental, will be available through a variety of sources including conventions and demo events leading to the game's release. The BattleLore Primer, a printed piece that further describes the BattleLore game system, will be available free of charge through the same channels starting in early October. Additional game information will also be posted online weekly in the newly launched BattleLore Chronicles weblog at http://www.battlelore.com.
Days of Wonder publishes high-quality, family-oriented board games that are easy to learn and fun to play. Founded in 2002, Days of Wonder has a global presence, with offices in the US and Europe, and distribution in 25 countries. In 2004, Days of Wonder became the youngest publisher ever to win Germany’s prestigious Spiel des Jahres, the world’s most coveted game prize.

Lovely. That red is so rich and deep, and I really like the blue on the hammer/pick/thingy as well.

Stupid computers. This is the beginning of the Robot Revolution I tell you. Soon greeting cards will be wandering the streets shouting communist propaganda!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wish companies would give a true scale instead of some arbitrary measurement.

About freakin' time.
Rackham has sent us photos of the pre-painted miniatures that will be shipping in the Operation Damocles boxed set. These are pictures of the miniatures as they will appear in the boxed set. Each photo show the regular trooper, leader and the heavy weapon trooper. -
Forge World’s latest newsletter has focused on their Tau Manta vehicle. The long awaited “miniature” is finally complete and ready for order and Forge World has several articles examining it.
As usual you should expect delays, if not actual errors, trying to load the Forge World website today due to high traffic demands on the site.
From their announcement:
For over a year now, Will Hayes has been working on a 40K scale Tau Manta and recently he was finally able to say it was finished. The Manta is by far the largest model that Games Workshop has ever produced, and by a long way too. The Manta measures 630mm/25 inches long and has a wingspan of 860mm/34 inches. Weighing in at 12.5 kilos/28 pounds, this beast weighs six times as much as a Thunderhawk Gunship, and that is before we put all the tanks and Battlesuits inside. You can see exterior shots of the Manta or detailed shots of the interior.

Reaper has had these in the works for some time now and have finally released the resized Tsuiseki, Kikyu, and Hedgehog minis. Here's the pics with pics of the old smaller versions for reference.
Tsuiseki (corrected scale) $10.49
and the original
Kikyu (corrected) $9.49
And the Hedgehog APC $12.49
I was painting some of the older Tsuisekis today and they are quite the pain, the new ones should be easier, especially for a good camo pattern, and look better on the table. Will probably pick the new ones up in a couple weeks.

Ahh, sorry 'bout that. Don't play Warmachine myself so wouldn't have been able to recognize the difference.

Antenociti's Workshop to product plastic hovertank
in News, Reviews, & Discussion
Posted
Antenociti's Workshop (somehow I misspell that three times everytime I try to type that) will be producing a plastic 28mm hovertank sometime in the near future. This comes as a surprise to me as they are usually known for their terrain products. The prototype (below) has some good detail, and apparently it's modular in design so you can assemble it as you like. Not sure if I'm a fan of the "giant surfboard" part though.
