Hey everyone, totally new to this game, picked it up on a whim, story is as follows:

I went to The Games Nook in Sudbury, Ontario last night with the intention of playing a few games of Star Wars X-Wing, while I waited the store owner introduced me to a few people that played Netrunner and Infinity, two games I've been trying to find people to play with, so I spoke to them a bit but didn't want to distract him since they were both deep in miniatures games. One of them was playing some weird miniatures game that I'd never seen before, so I stood by and watched while he explained the general idea behind Malifaux. I took a look at the models he had and more or less fell in love, those are some really pretty miniatures, lots of flavor and variety too. I'm especially a fan of using a deck of cards instead of rolling a handful of dice, and the focus on objectives, especially the non-combat ones.

One of the tables freed up, I set up for some X-Wing, got wrecked by a TIE swarm, then went back home... and looked up Malifaux stuff. Found the Pull My Finger wiki, checked their recommendations on where to start, what to pick up. Looked at all the options for starter boxes, Lady Justice, Sonnia Criid and Colette DuBois were the three that jumped out at me, but when I checked the store this afternoon Colette was the only one that was still in stock, so I picked that box up along with the rulebook. I know that the wiki suggests not starting with Colette because she's not as straight-forward or as easy to learn as some of the other masters, but I've learned from the past that I should go with the models I like, and not the ones that are recommended for beginners.

So that's my story, looking forward to playing the game, but from what I saw of the rules and models I know I'll have a blast. And if anyone from my neck of the woods is reading this, I need people to play with!
