Chris Tomlin
Wow...these are totally legit! Sooo cool. LEDs on the Golem are brilliant, really impressive. Kang is actually my favourite though, the burning coals are inspired and work excellently. Your basing is also top notch. I look forward to more. bfrench
So I'm just about done with my wife's Ortegas. Will post pics of Abuela shortly, but for now here's the Enslaved Nephilim. This is the first time I've used the Tamiya Clear Red and I couldn't be happier with it. It's an interesting medium to work with and is apparently alcohol based. I may have lost a brush or two, they're soaking in rubbing alcohol now and hoping it restores them. If you haven't used this before, here's the tutorial
bfrench
Well I've been painting at a crazy rate lately (thanks to an awesome and understanding wife) and finished the entire lady justice box plus an executioner. Still have the Exorcist, Miss Terious and Scales of Justice on the table. Also have an enitre Dark Debts set and I managed to pick up a NE Teddy and NE Lord Chompy Bits. On a side note my wife re-launched her craft business on etsy and thought we should build a light box . . . WIN! I'd been trying to figure out a way to talk to her about storing one at the house and this worked out all too well. So the new photos are courtesy of the light box, no fancy camera yet still just the iPad Enough rambling, enjoy the eye candy *happy* Just realized there is some bare metal on the Death Marshall from where I missed some flash . . . will have to go back and touch that up. Bruglyother
This is fantastic painting. The only issue I have is that there are some quite noticeable mold lines in a few places. (Gravestone, Executioner's left claw). Keep up the good work. Love seeing great paint jobs like these.
jasonfly
Very nice work! The only thing that sticks out as odd is the death marshal's base, it looks a bit too uniform and lacks some depth from what I can see. Maybe a wash (or another one, can't tell if you already did). Other than that little nit-pick, it's looking great!
underdog6750
Love the colours on lady j. Really nice. I think its the trousers that does it for me Aldo loving the gore on the executioner. Im also a fan of bringing it onto the black lip of the base Great work though. Would love to see your models photographed with a professional camera. Im sure there are loads of small details we arent getting to see
bfrench
Tahe mold lines bother me too, but i bought these off a friend and they wete primed black and much less noticeable until i got paint ond them. At that point i didn't want to back tack and clean them up further and ruin the work I'd already done. As to the base it's actually washed and drybtushed up two shades. I've been messing with the light box, and it may simply be bavkground choice, but my lighter colors are getting completely washed out to white. I took some photos of the Judge but all the shading on his coat got whited out. Will have to borrow the wifes camera and see what i can do
