On Pullmyfinger it describes Repulsive as an excellent way of disengaging from melee with an opponent, but wouldn't you need to disengage in order to cast it anyway? So if you were being flanked by two giant mosquitoes (as I found myself yesterday) you'd still need to disengage from the both of them in order to cast the spell that would push them back?
