The Fall of Malifaux (Escalation League) - Toledo, OH - Starting October 1st, 2011

Toledo Area Malifaux will be hosting an escalation league starting October 1st, 2011, and running for twelve weeks. At the end of six two week rounds, we'll declare a winner. This is an escalation league, and will start at 20 soulstones. There will be a document posted to report scores/results on, and a second document with all the league player's preferred contact information to ease setting up games. You'll be required to challenge one opponent every two weeks, and you can't challenge the same opponent twice.

Entry fee will be $15.

The round schedule:

Round 1: 20 Soulstone Scrap, October 1st-14th.

Round 2: 25 Soulstone Scrap, October 15th-28th.

Round 3: 30 Soulstone Scrap, October 29th-November 11th.

Round 4: 35 Soulstone Scrap, November 12th-25th.

Round 5: 40 Soulstone Brawl, November 26th-December9th.

Round 6: 45 Soulstone Brawl, December 10th-24th.

* Don't forget, the last two rounds are brawls.

Scoring will be domination format:

3 points per win.

1 point per draw.

0 points per loss.

In the event of a tie, your differential score over the course of the league will decide the tie-breaker. So don't forget, those two points might matter down the road.

Painting and basing is required for all models for league play. We'll stick with the minimum three color standard for painting, and bases can't be plain black boring old plastic bases. Avatars CAN be proxied, but must be a good representation of your master's avatar, and follow the same painting/basing requirements as your other minis, be creative! Other proxies are not allowed. If Wyrd has released it, it's fair game.

At the end of the league there will be a prize for the winner, and the best painted. The best painted will be decided by polling the players during the last two weeks. There will be a couple more prize categories TBA based on number of players.

We have over twenty players signed up for the league already. This is a great opportunity to get motivated to paint thoses minis you've been putting off, or to start up a new crew with a great group of players.

You're only eligible for one prize, so whoever wins 1st overall won't also win the top of their faction award.
