This question is about the timing of Dampening really: if Hoffman hires a Steamborg Executioner the SE can't use Steam Cloud while within 3" of Hoffman (that's obvious). But what happens to the cloud if Hoffman moves to within 3" of the SE while the cloud is already in play?
And on a tanget: if Hoffman were to assimilate Steam Cloud, what would happen when his activation is over (since Dampening doesn't work during his own activation, but kicks in again right after)? Does he suppress his own aura?
