It's a hard one as shooting is more powerful in m3e and alot of things ( too many ) either have + flips or ignore friendly fire so you have very little safety from it. That coupled with low stats and the inability to swell our ranks like we used to in m2e means its just a feel bad game alot of the time

So I don't really have an answer. The power of ranged attacks in m3e is a concern as being in melee isn't the defence it was and cover again much less useful for protection

I agree. I feel like range just use a turn to focus then shoot away... basically making sure they hit and negating Hard to Wound all in 1...

  2. I've been playing a decent amount of games lately trying different crews.  I've really really enjoyed games with low shooting vs my crew,  but I find very shooty crews to be especially hard to play against and feel like they always have an advantage.  The only ressur crew I've had good success and found fun vs shooting was kirai so far.  So my question is how do you guys handle good shooting crews and do you feel shooting has an edge vs melee?

  3. I think the changes to Seamus are not necessarily good. Changes to Secret passage … I always played it that he must be in base contact to blocking terrain, so don't see any issue with this. The change to a cause of celebration being leader only is a big nerf. I have taken Seamus as 2nd master and with Totem he costs 23 SS! Changing this to leader and I'll basically never be willing to spend that much to take him as a 2nd master. I think his ability was fine when spending half your crew cost for him and his ability….

  4. I am not feeling Red Chapel atm. Playing thm last week they felt... clunky and tbh not very fun. I actually enjoyed how Bete played .. but agree I don't see myself playing her in her current form. Not sure what shes supposed to be or do atm. The aura is too small… I would actually like to see some kinda or reowrk to give Red Chapel better synergy together. Not feeling it atm.

  5. At 8 cost what does she do for the faction? What is her purpose? before she was hard to kill and I felt she was like a skirmisher that could tie up models and allow Seamus to get his Red Chapel killer off where needed. I honestly can't see taking her at all for 8SS and 6 Health. Her offense did not improve. 2/3/4 Lucky knife is nothing super scary. I would rather see a total rework at this point. I also feel the belles (Red Chapel) are lacking in synergy. The only beater is honestly Seamus. I would rather just use him as a second master at this point.

  6. (2.6.19) So she just got (IMO) nerfed. She now reduces damage by 2 and buries automatically? So you can't keep her in melee even if you wanted to. She can now only unbury on a corpse marker.. interesting as range and LOS are not important and can charge. Guess thats cool... but I'm having trouble seeing how she is better this way? Reduces by 2 means she can still get hit for 5 and takes 3 damage then she must bury. As for other Things.. not seeing any changes to her damage or abilties in combat to make her any better? I'll test her, but not seeing her as improved. Anyone else's opinion?

I don't really get this, being able to take any action (ignoring italic in the correct situation) seems like it's the most versatile bonus action you could get. You need to escape? Take back alley. You need to kill something? Take an extra attack. You need to scheme? Take an interact action. Really, there are plenty of other masters who have situations where their bonus action is not useful (Mama Z might not want to reset the hands, if Molly is out of cards she can't discard for her ability, Albus could be only near students who already have the upgrade) but there's no situation I can think of where Seamus wouldn't want an extra action.

I find it situational due to this:

"The model may remove a corpse marker on the table half and within 3' and los. The model may take an action. "

Actually i may have misunderstood/misread this ability.  As looking at it now it looks as if seamus can always take an action. Just that it only ignores italics when a corpse is removed.  If that's the case he would have easily survived longer today and I agree it is very good.  If he must remove a corpse to do it then I find it too situational.

  8. Yeah. My buddy is drawing up the Battle report soon. If I remember correct it had somethign to do With her crit ability. I had moved Seamus to a position while she wass engaged With Bete in order to get the + flip. I had to move first, focused and then fired. Damage was great got 8 which I believe he reduced to 6 With stone. Therin lies the problem With the Escape plan as I was hoping to take her out that turn and couldnt manage it. She did get stunned though With the trigger. I'm not real sold on his free action ability as its very situational. Would much rather have something else. I agree very much With your comments on the rest of the Red Chappel. I do like how Betes survival allow her to pop into combat and allow for the + flips. problem is getting anything into melee though vs such a shooty crew.

  9. I agree his utility is very good. I also agree he has good attacks and such. However, I still feel he's a bit too much glass cannon. It really felt like he was the ONLY hard hitter though... Was up against Perdita.. she layed 7dmg on him in 1 shot… 4 def and he won't be negating many hits. As a Master I think he should have at least 5.

  10. Just played red chapel and felt Seamus especially was not so inspiring.  Hes like a glass cannon. 4 def ? He has cool abilities and I love how he gets +flips when red chapel are engaged,  but really feel he is missing something big time. Swagger would be nice to see again and fits his character. Why the reduction in health?

  11. Just played her. Felt she is a good utility tool needed to engage especially shooty crews. She can move fast and engage and provides a presence.  She does not hit terribly hard, but forces the opponent to consider her.  She is also fully susceptible to blast attacks... not targeting.  Such as dynamite.
