I assume you are referring to Misery. Nothing in the ability says it can't be prevented by soulstone (or reduced by arcane shield) so it can.

There are very few times that you can't use soulstone to prevent damage, and those are mentioned in the action or ability (often on a trigger).

Thanks for that man, I guess it just all depends if your willing to lose that many soulstones lol 

Can a leader or henchman save against the sorrows ability or is it unsalable damage?
