  1. Hi everyone It's time again for our monthly Malifaux-Day at the House of Cards (you can find us here). We will open the doors Sunday the 24th November at 12:00 o'clock. Please give me a sign if you would like to come for a few rounds of M2E, M3E or TOS, so I can prepare enough tables. If you are from around Bern and looking for a game demo just ping me. We will find a date 😉
  2. Hi everyone It's time again for our monthly Malifaux-Day at the House of Cards (you can find us here). We will open the doors Sunday the 27th October at 12:00 o'clock. Please give me a sign if you would like to come for a few rounds of M2E, M3E or e TOS, so I can prepare enough tables. I will already have some demos this time, but if you would be interested in some M3E or TOS demo just write me a message and we will find a date 😉
  3. Thanks for checking though ☺️ Is there maybe an official ruling on this?
  4. Guess this was what I was thinking of, then. I can't find the right section in the rules. There is one passage about abilities and one about conditions that says models cant get the same multiple time. Since Alcohol Poisoning doesn't give a new ability a second time, nor is a condition, I'm confused. It just says a model would take +1 damage. Could you point out where I can find this in the rules?
  5. I have a confusion about the wording of the two abilities "Ill Omens" and "Alcohol Poisoning" and probably similar ones. For as I read both abilities they should stack. So if a model with poison is in the aura range of Brewmaster and Whesley it should get +2 Poison Damage and if I have Mah and Trixie I should have +2 on my flips for Initiative. Now I kind of remember on a discussion back in the beta where I was told one would stack and the other doesn't (do not remember which way) and now I am totally lost on that question... Do both abilities stack? Does none? Or is there a difference?
  6. Sounds right but still Zavros probably found the problem😂 I probably should read the cards of my opponents more carefully🙈
  7. I made sure he had no straight lines to move over multiple of my models. I tried to make sure that he did not get the first attack as well but had a few horrible flips in round 1. So he could get a good shot at round 2 where he charged a Moon Shinobi rolling over him (move check1), hit him successfully with , moved over him again due to the attack (move check2) and repositioned him thanks to the trigger rolling one more time over the Shinobi (move check3). He survived due to move 6 but 1 AP causing that many duels feels not right. I played a Tri Chi list yesterday, I do not remember what they were playing the last game day😅 I think he is strong but for me its okay. I agree with zavros that it looks like a glass canon. But because two players in my group, including the one playing the Wanyudo came to me because they thought it to be too strong, I wanted to get some other experiences What I tell my players all the time🤣 My favourite master since I started playing is Brewmaster and back in M2E he wasn't really known as a beater
  8. Misaki has a tactical action called "The Oyabun's Command" that lets a friendly model take a charge action. The action is not a once per turn nor a bonus action so could be taken 3 times in a row. Can I target the same model multiple times in the same activation? The charge action has the limitation once per activation but the model that takes the charge action in this scenario is not activated. In the combination Misaki with Wanyudo this would cause a unhealthy combination...
  9. What was your experience with Wanyudo? I am asking because after our last game day two players came to me and both agreed on Wanyudo being unbalanced and too powerful for a 7 Soul Stone model. They played a 50 Soul Stone match and a Henchman Hardcore and both times Wanyudo almost wiped the enemy board on its own. I think it is pretty strong, but if you make sure to keep his reach in mind and walk carefully not to cluster it should usually be no problem. So I played against him yesterday to get my own experience. I did not really stand a chance, but this was not Wanyudo all alone but rather because of the combination with Misaki. Due to Wanudo being a Versatile you can hire him with no additional cost in her crew and her "The Oyabun's Command" in combination with Wanyudo is just insane... What was your experience with or against Wanyudo? Is the relatively low cost of just 7 Soul Stone justified? Or should at least the 5" push of the attack be a trigger rather than an always appearing side effect?
  10. The spreadsheet for the league and the corresponding explanations in German can be found on the following links: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1y4ewlt0B4OsuruS-QrF_0mh0K7JGM2TPX2rGWXz1eB0 https://drive.google.com/open?id=14VzQ0xyD3EpZgc5LBLbBE2BFWI_HKklxYBNo9DooE7U
  11. M3E is coming! It is the perfect time to get familiar with the new rules. So we're starting a league! The league will start on Monday 6th May and will run over 8 weeks. So we'll finish just when the first wave of the new M3E products will be available. There will be 4 rounds; each lasts for 2 weeks. Each player should play one game per round in the House of Cards. Please make sure to get in touch with me or Isa from the store in advance for table reservations. To make it even a little more interesting there will be something to win: The first place will get a Crew Box of their choice for free and there will be more prizes, depending on the number of participants. Therefore there will be a small registration fee of 5.- sFr. per person. We try to hand out something small for everyone 😉 We have a couple of players with some experience with the M3E already. For an easy start I recommend to have your first game with one of them. Of course there is always the possibility to play against my Bayou inhabitants 😉 The achievements and a spreadsheet with the current points of all participants will be online as a google sheet for everyone. The explanations to the spreadsheet are currently only in german online. If you would like to get an English version, write me a PM. I will post the links to the corresponding documents later this week.
  12. Bad Things Happen... While translating I somehow missed the Victory Conditions of the Strategy for my Easter Special. Good to know that there are well prepared players😌 Addition to the Strategy "Save the Bunnies" Victory Points At the end of the game this crew scores 1 victory point for every friendly Bunny Marker fully in the own deployment zone. At the end of the game if there are no more of the opponent's Bunny Markers on the field, this Crew scores an additional victory point.
  13. As promised. Here the strategies and schemes for the tournament next Monday including the easter special scenario 😉 Round 1: Deployment: Flank Strategy: Ply for Information Schemes: Undercover Entourage, Inescapable Trap, Show of Force and Take Prisoner Round 2: Deployment: Corner Strategy: Symbols of Authority Schemes: Covert Breakthrough, Dig Their Graves, Hold Up Their Forces and Search the Ruins Round 3: Deployment: Standard Strategy and Schemes you find below: Easter Special!! Strategy Save the Bunnies! While crews are deployed, each player places 3 30mm Bunny Markers on the center line and no closer then 3' to another Bunny Marker. Special Bunnies are fast but fragile. A model can declare an attack action against a Bunny Marker. The Bunny Marker is hit on a TN of 13. Close combat actions have one minus twist, ranged combat actions have two minus twists. If the attack action deals at least one damage, remove the Bunny Marker from the game. At the end of each round, flip one card for each friendly Bunny Marker. Push each friendly Bunny Marker 3'/4'/5' in any direction. Schemes Feed the Bunnies This scheme may not start revealed. Durning any turn after the first you may reveal this scheme and distribute a Carrot Token to each model in this crew. Each model in play gains the following attack action: (1) Throw the Bait: Place a Carrot Marker in up to 10' and no closer than 2' to a Bunny Marker. „Pulse“ 4': For each Bunny Marker in reach, flip a card and push the Bunny Marker 1'/2'/3' towards the Carrot Marker. Then, if the Bunny Marker is in base contact with the Carrot Marker, remove the Carrot Marker from the game. A model cannot perform this attack action if it has no Carrot Token. A model in base contact may use a (1) interact action to remove a Carrot Marker to get a Carrot Token. Victory Points If an opponent's Bunny Marker removes a Carrot Marker from the Game, score 1 Victory Point. Find the Rabbit Hole This scheme may not start revealed. Reveal this scheme when you place the Rabbit Hole Marker. During any turn a model may use a (2) interact action to place a 50mm Rabbit Hole Marker in base contact and fully on the opponents half of the table. At the end of each round, after cards are flipped to push the Bunny Markers, each Bunny Marker on a table half with a Rabbit Hole Marker must perfrom a duel against a TN 14. On a passed duel the Bunny may be pushed in any direction, otherwise it is pushed its flipped distance towards the Rabbit Hole Marker. When a Bunny Marker is in base contact with the Rabbit Hole Marker, remove it from the game. Victory Points If an opponent's Bunny Marker is removed by a Rabbit Hole Marker, this crew scores 1 victory point. Bunny Race This scheme may not start revealed. After both crews are deployed, reveal this Scheme and place a Racing Bunny Marker in your deployment zone At the end of each round, flip a card. Push the Racing Bunny Marker 3'/4'/5' in any direction. The Racing Bunny Marker is considered a Bunny Marker for the puposes of Feed the Bunnies and Find the Rabbit Hole. Victory Points The fist time the Racing Rabbit Marker lies in the opponents half of the table after being pushed, this crew scores 1 victory point. At the end of a round, if the Racing Rabbit Marker is completely inside the opponents deployment zone, score 1 victory point. Steal the Easter Egg This Scheme may not start revealed. Reveal this Scheme once this Crew has earned any VP from it. Victory Points A modell in base contact with an opponent's Bunny Marker may use a (1) interact action to score 1 victory point.

  22. Hi everyone I'm new to the game and not yet familiar with the way abilities are worded sometimes. We had a situation today where I cheated fate and replaced my flipped card with a Red Joker to have the right suit and a save value. My opponent, a newbie as well, wanted to cheat fate with a Red Joker as well. I remembered, that there was something written about not being able to cheat on an opposed Red Joker, but the rules only say that on a "flipped" Red Joker can not be cheated by the opponent. Is a card considered "flipped" if I replaced a card by cheat fate or can my opponent in the example cheat fate even though i played a Red Joker?
  23. lol, lucky who can read Thanks a lot Bayou Undertaker
  24. Hi everyone I just started to play after a long time just admiring the models of Malifaux. Brewmaster was my choice for a Leader and as i am a martial arts fan i would love to play him in ten thunders, where i also found his box in the shop. I mostly play miniature games with models i like the look of. So i got my first models Tanuki, Fermented River Monks, Shadow Effigy and of course the Closing Time Box without knowing their stats first. When i had my first look on the stat cards i was a little frustrated first because their Fractions don't match and after a little research on google i was completly confused. As I understand the rules, you can not mix fractions but I found a lot of lists playing Brewmaster with Fingers, Wesley and sometimes Rivermonks, Tanukis or other Ten Thunders. Since Fingers and Wesley are not of the Ten Thunders Fraction nor is either one of them a Mercenary. Did I miss something in the rules here? And an other question just arised. I had a look in the errata 2018 before and was wondering, what cost the Moonshine Shinobi is now. In the errate there is mentioned (-1) but i don't know, if there are allready new cards in a box you buy now. Or are there never new cards and you apply the errata always to the printed cost? Thanks in advance
