  1. This might be an option to consider depending on what master you are going up against. Since m3e has us announcing masters before we buy crews, you can keep this as a backpocket idea for some of those models you feel might need to be obeyed or lured. Most of the time the keyword models should be enough but ook models do allow flexibility against particularly difficult crews.

  2. So Dreamer wants to have a party. He invites:

Collodi to feed on plucked eyeballs

Baby Kade and Teddy for pouncing and big hugs

Iggy so they can both have tantrums

Candy for her goodies and a little bit of sweet and sour

And some Silurids to watch them leap and gambol with their talons.

Who else should be invited? Keep in mind that Alps and Daydreams are always around somewhere waiting to be summoned.

Should the Changelings and Malifaux Child be invited?

Tannen has an ability that lowers the value of :tome cards by 2, and raises the value of :mask cards by 2.  That makes the 13 :mask into an effective 15 :mask, and the Red Joker is an effective 16 :mask.

So Tannen would be necessary. Is he useful outside of this for the dreamer?

Thank you, been trying to figure out how I want to play Dreamer. definitely going summoner dreamer though.  The idea of summoning teddy's peeked my interest but the chances of it seem too slim to bank on as a strategy.

I've been trying to figure out how to summon Teddy. With a 6mask on the cast + a 13mask or red joker, I am still short of the goal. What is needed to hit the required 21 double mask (SS cost of Teddy + 10TN)?

Just because they're made of flesh and huggy excrements doesn't mean they aren't perfectly playable puppets!

Against the growing discrimination of flesh puppets!

Lists can be perfectly fluffy without using published storys. I can totally imagin the dreamer and lord chompy cheerfully following the funny looking man frog and murdering anything in his path that attempts to hurt their new friend.

Frog man! I also see them as cute amphibious puppies that would catch Dreamer's eye. He definitely wants to play with them.

  6. When putting together your crews do you ever consider the fluff? For example, in creating a Lilith based crew would you use Nekima depending on the schemes available or would you avoid using Nekima since she hates her sister Lilith for usurping her?

I've been using a Silurid with my Dreamer crew even though they haven't been in the swamp. Having it as a scheme runner has been useful even though Silurids and the Dreamer don't mix in the fluff.

Remember that you build your list to the schemes and strategies and your opponents declared faction. Sometimes going for synergy between 100% of your models is a pitfall. If you feel you need a ranged unit, and you have Angel Eyes but she doesn't synergise with your crew but fills a gap you feel you need filled for your current situation, take her.

That's part of why I want her. Dreamer has very little ranged action in his crew. She fills a big hole since the players I play with have range heavy crews.

But even just the concept of a human-born nephilim thrills me. A crew based around such could be pretty awesome!

  8. I just purchased the Starter kit and a set of Beckoners. I am enamored with Angel Eyes and the lure of the Beckoners is intriguing. I prefer running a Dreamer crew so would love some ideas for how to integrate either in with him, Copellius, and Mysterious Effigy.

I also have my Lilith crew completed but haven't played her. I'm still learning so much about Dreamer to switch yet.
