Today I played a 50ss game with my friend who is just getting into Malifaux. He was taking Von Schill for the second time so I decided this would be a good time to try out Ironsides again, making it my second time with her.

Not going to go into huge turn by turn detail here, but will provide some insight to the game. We called it at the end of turn 3  when I was up 5-1 with free reign to score heavily turn 4.

Key points:
The Firestarter with Imbued Energues is becoming my favourite scheme runner. Completed 'Leave Your Mark' by himself.

Ironsides wrecked face - removed half of Killjoys wounds (including the death touch) and solo'd Von Schill like a boss. 

Using Ironsides 'Looking At Me' (think that is what it is called) ability on your own models to move into threat range and out of threat range (Killjoy was licking his lips at the sight of an Oxfordian mage and Gunsmith)

Two Oxfordian Mages is probably not warranted - just haven't gotten the mileage out of them. Considering Cassandra.

Railworkers are gods amongst men. Two are definitely worth considering.

Despite his poor showing today, I will never give up my love of Willie. And yes, phrasing.

We haven't picked our strats and schemes yet.

Also, I have the Arcane Effigy to roll out as well

This Sunday I have a game lined up with my mate. We are both taking new masters for the first time. I will be trotting out my Kaeris crew and he will roll out Collodi.

I have Kaersi' and Ironsides' box sets, Willie, Gunsmiths, December Acolytes, Johan to choose from model wise.

Any recommendations? Also,I am trying to read up about Collodi as much as possible, but would love to hear about others first hand experiences against him.

So I am about to have my first game ever with Toni. 

I was wondering if you seasoned pros have any guidance with regards to key things to remember to do.

I already have Johan ready and waiting for condition removal but after seeing the devastation of McMourning throwing poison out like it is candy, I am feeling the more removal I have, the better haha

My other master is Marcus, but Kaeris will be my third master following Ironsides (damn this game gets you quickly haha).

The other fella I am looking at adding is Willie. For me, he is the embodiment of Malifaux's craziness that I so love.

I have been toying with the idea of picking up an Arcane Effigy because I like the model. 

I guess what I want to know is how people have found him/her/it in game, especially with Ironsides, who I am just starting to learn

Any and all thoughts are appreciated. Also if this has been discussed before and you can redirect me, much appreciated

Tough game for me today. This was my first real game with no assistance from those around me...and it showed haha.
50ss, Recon with Distract, Deliver Message, Entourage and Body Guard available.

I was up against Lady J, Judge, 2x Death Marsh, Crutchstringer, 2x Ronin, Lawyer and Scales.

I opted for Deliver Message and Entourage.

My opponent opted for Line in the Sand and Deliver Message.

Things started off great as a multi charge saw the Cerberus drag Lady J down kicking and screaming but that was my only real win for the game as I made a plethora of mistakes that allowed my opponent back into the game - including killing Lady J before I delivered the message...even though I could have easily done it for 3VP - poop!

Won't lie - I can't wait to get my Arcane Emissary when it comes out

So, my good friend roped me into Malifaux via a combination of constant peer pressure and excellent demo games at House of War (Ringwood, Victoria, Australia - if you are in Victoria and have the time or inclination, I high recommend going to visiting these sweet peeps! Facilities are second to none.)

My girlfriend helped me cave to his pressure by buying me the Marcus Claw and Fang starter set for Christmas. To my surprise, I had a great level of enthusiasm for completing and painting these models to get them onto the table. Marcus was the first model that I completed of the crew. This was a significant moment for me because he represented the first model I have ever fully completed - I have 3 40k armies, 2 WFBH armies and an Infinity crew.

With his completion began the relentless march of churning out beast after beast for my crew pool. First was the entire box contents, followed by a War Pig, then some old school Night Terrors, which were then followed by Silurids and Waldgeists. Lastly came the Canine Remains (who may be my new favourite model after the Cerberus, following their turning of the tide against a Dreamer crew for me).

Now, I will profess that I am not the world's greatest painter by any stretch of the imagination, but the completion of these models makes for an important chapter in my gaming career. I feel like I need to express my love for this wyrd little game of ours (see what I did there!). It is the only game that I have felt myself wanting to continue painting and getting the models completed and I love the zaniness of the games, so much so that I am entering my first tournament in March and hope to have my second crew (the wonderful Toni Ironsides) ready to go for the grand occasion - although she will struggle to force Marcus off the table.

So, without further ado, I present Marcus and his horde of homie beasts...

I have done a bit of reading about Gamin and Ironsides. Following the cuddle to Metal Gamin, are they still a viable option?
At this point my present list is Ironsides  box set and  Johan (along with some other stuff to pad out my Marcus crew). Unfortunately, I am unable to find any gunsmiths on the website I am buying from, along with Willie
I like the information about the M&SU pack - I would love a Langston and would jump on it if I intended to go with Ramos as my third Arcanist master (Kaeris is leading that charge), but I am approaching Malifaux with a way different mindset than I did Warhammer (apologies for bringing up the dark side!!), which is to say I am picking my crew based upon my love for their background/looks/etc

So my partner has decided to buy me a new master crew for Valentine's Day (Romantics till the end here) and I have settled on Ironsides as I already have Marcus and want to expand my Master pool.

My thing is, I was wondering what other models should I be looking to purchase to fill out her crew pool?

My silurid worked liked a charm, drawing the hooded rider away and out of focus before giving him the slip. The waldgiest germinating all over the place was handy and the canine remains played amazingly - including turning Teddy into a beast to help Marcus get Alpha off

The glorious moment today when my Cerberus leapt into combat with The Dreamer, trigger multiple mauls forcing the The Dreamer to kill off Teddy to save himself only for the Cerberus to red joker his final damage flip on him...before the end of turn 2

I am wondering what people have tried when adding some ranged attacks to a Marcus led crew. 
My currently thoughts lay with a December Acolyte, but was wondering what else is out there for us. Dawn Serpent can obviously lend out some range hurt.

Those December Acolytes sound pretty amazing actually. May have to investigate further!

I am super new to Malifaux (three games in and counting haha) and Marcus is my first master. So far I have played with his crew box and added night terrors, waldgiests, silurids and canine remains to my model pool.

I  was curious about what non-beast models people have run with Marcus before and what they found to work well.

Also, I will upload some pics soon for feedback and comments.
