When is the event?

This event will be run on Saturday the 1st July 2016 and Sunday 2nd July.

Where is the Event?

The event takes place at the Wayland Games Centre Hockley and will be run in the gaming hall. Players must report to the store upon arrival for registration and a member of each team will need to show a copy of their digital order upon arrival in the store.

Schedule for the Weekend:

Saturday:

• 10:00 – 10:30 Venue open & registration

• 10:30 - 12:30 Round 1

• 12:30 – 13:00 Lunch

• 13:30 – 15:30 Round 2

• 15:45 – 17:45 Round 3

Sunday:

• 10:00 Venue open

• 10:15 - 12:15 Round 4 

• 12:15 - 13:00 lunch

• 13:00 – 15:00 Round 5

• 15:15 - 15:30 Awards

What do players need to bring?

Players are responsible for bringing their own: 

• Crew models

• Rulebooks and official stat cards

• Fate Deck

• Measuring tape

• Counters/markers/tokens

• Cash for drinks, snacks and purchases from the store!

What prizes or Awards are being given out at the event?

There will be awards for the top three players, Best Painted, Sportsmanship and Best in Faction.

How much is the event and what is included?

Event Tickets for the Malifaux GT are £25. This includes entry to the event only. £5 from every ticket sold will go to WAAC (wargamers against all cancer) who donate to McMillian cancer support. On top of this anyone who came to last year's event will know there will be plenty of ways to support this amazing charity over the weekend. 

Bar and Lunch Facilities

On site we have a fully licensed bar with a wide range of drinks, snacks and food available. Hot food options include:

• Premium Hotdog

• Cheese Burger

• Stacked Nachos [Vegetarian option]

BASIC TOURNAMENT RULES

The tournament will follow gaining grounds 2017 with the following exceptions:

Proxies and conversions: Will be allowed on approval by the TO. Please submit to Snez prior to the event. Models based around existing malifaux models must be significantly altered to make the stand easily differentiated from the original. 

There will be 5 rounds of 2 hours each. At the nd of that 2 hours the player with the most VP's will be the winner.

TOURNAMENT SCORING

Scouring will be as per Gaining Grounds 2017!

If this becomes common place I'll never be able to go to another tournament tho? Mike can I still come to showdown even though my face may offend many there? 

Bribery......... It's a thing!!!!

On day one you wil be given your day one score sheet but not know what occurring for day 2!

 

You will also not know your opponent for day 2 until the morning..... UNLESS!?!

 

So bribery is allowed at the English GT, for a £1 donation to WAAC you can see Sunday's sheet, for another £1 you can see whom you'll be facing to either get an advantage or simply gloat over dinner, Twitter, Facebook or to your dear old man back home about how you got the easy draw and are going to smash your opponent.

I'll be there and will try to bring some of the Essex lot

So with just 18 days to go thought it's about time I sort out a meal for anyone who wants to come. So what do people fancy doing? Southend is about a 15 min drive away and has a vast array of restaurants I clouding Chinese buffets or we can stay in Hockley and go for pub grub?

 

if I could get a show of hands from those who want to come that would be great and a choice of location and cuisine that would be epic..
