  1. Queeg and Greed are two new models in book 3 (Shifting Loyalties) for Guild. I believe Greed will be officially released to stores later this month as part of a larger box called the Crossroads 7, which features a model for each faction (all with the Mercenary attribute). Queeg does not have a release date yet.

Greed focuses on penalizing your enemy for not performing certain actions, as well as tossing out healing for Soulstones. Queeg is a Guardsman henchman who's sort of a mini-Lucius in being able to do things with your Minions and in Interact capabilities.

Ive yet to see anyone in the uk sue the models from the sins 7 box that didn't preorder them from wyrd a while back. As for Queeg, not got the book so cant use him [store dosnt have it either]

Never, ever take a henchman leader when you can take a master.

And yet it won me my last tornement

I would be more than happy to prove my point in Vassal if you want. :)

Id take you up on that if I wasn't working so much this week [alot of 10 hour days let alone the 1 hour journey each way this week]

Although Ive found Dashell is the only henchman that works as a leader due to the stupid amount of buffing he grants guardsman spam

  2. There is a local tornement in a few weeks time. Faction locked. But master/crew flexible between the 4 games. 35 ss.

I want to use dashell and 3 guildfilemen. Rest is flexible (dash can be leader or nonleader).

This list won my other local group (3 of us joint 1st)

    Dashell,

    3 guild riflemen,

    2 guild sergeants,

    2 guild guard.

    ===========

This time I'm considering the following (using Lucius rule bending).

    Go as declared ten thunders

Take lucas mccabe, badge of speed, strange metal shirt, barbs

    Dashell, smoke grenades

    3 guild riflemen

    Ten thunders guild pathfinder.

Anyone got ideas for alternate lists (must include dashell and 3 riflemen)

Dashel and the Pathfinders are my go to right now for my campaign list. Positive flips within Dashel's :aura along with the clockwork traps +1 to Sh is amazingly good.

However you have a few major disadvantages in both of your lists as far as I can tell(I don't play McCabe so I don't know everyone of his attacks).

    1. You don't have anything that attacks Willpower.
    2. You don't have any Cast actions.
    3. You have nothing that can hold off charging models.

I would also think about adding Queeg to the list for the extra 0 actions combos well with Pathfinder. I'd drop 1 rifleman for Queeg. Add Watcher for dedicated scheme running and Greed for some Ca vs Wp that you need. You still don't have anything that likes Ml, but hey your playing at 35ss.

    • Dashel (Leader)
    • Queeg 7ss
    • Riflemen x 2  10ss = 17
    • Pathfinder 6ss = 23
    • Greed 8ss = 31
    • Watcher 4ss = 35

Then you will be at a total of 35ss.

I've not seen stat cards for queeg or greed. Whom are they?

  4. Mhmm was alot closer than that. At the time we didnt allow the attack, and it didnt change the outcome, but was trying to get clarity on the LoS and engaement ruling anyways. I was just trying to clear up the LoS ruling in the game for future reference.

Yesterday we had a game and we had an issue with LoS and Engagement crop up. Although me and my opponent agreed this was engaged, other players at the time didn't think it was. From what I under stand from the rules, you need only one of the two LoS lines and be within engagement range [base to base] for an attack to be made.

What do you mean "the two LoS lines"?  There are an infinite number of line of sight lines between two models.  And only one unobstructed line is necessary for line of sight.  From page 40:

    Line of Sight

A model has LoS to a target if at least one of the LoS lines drawn between the acting model and the target does not cross intervening blocking terrain or models.

From above that quote in that column on page 40:

To determine LoS from a model to a target, the players will draw a series of imaginary straight lines from the acting model to the target model. These LoS lines are drawn from anywhere on the acting model's base to anywhere on the target's base.

Ah cool from the examples in the rule book Ive always assumed its from the edges of the base!

From what I under stand from the rules, you need only one of the two LoS lines and be within engagement range [base to base] for an attack to be made. However others were saying you need both LoS from a model to have an attack. They went on to say even if I was right, I'd get a negative flip on the attack due to attacking through another model. However I cannot see in the rules anything mentioning melee attacks [the hash symbol] getting a negative, only ranged attacks [with gun symbol].

So here in lies my questions:

In example 1; can my oxfordian mage attack the Karnataka sniper?[yes image name is spelt wrong] If so, is there any negative flips on attack or damage?
    In example 2; same again.
In example 3; can the rail golem [ht4 range 3"] attack over oxford mage [ht3] to hit the mouse? If no, what if mouse was Ironsides instead? [same ht as the mage]
