Can this push be initiated if the model cannot end it in base contact with the construct carrying the upgrade?

For example.

I walk up a Rail Golem with the TM upgrade. Then later I walk up a Guardian to finish within 4in of the RG. He pushes into base contact with the RG due to TM. Later I walk up a metal Gamin and would like to push him up using TM but he will not be able to make base contact with the RG because the line directly between their bases crosses the Guardians base.

Can I push him up to the Guardian where he stops?

Or is the push invalid because he cannot end it in base contact with the RG?

So,

Seems most of you guys agree with me.

Provided the construct is in the loop before being buried (Pine box or whatever bury mechanic) his stats can still be used by other looped models until Hoffman's next activation.

A Hoffman question. Lets say a Guardian is in the power loop and gets pine boxed by an opposing Death Marshal. My reading of the Bury rules and of the Power Loop condition on Hoffman's card says I can still use stats from the buried model.
