Ola zusammen,
Gruss

I'm just starting a Dark Carnival crew because I really like the look of them, plus Cooper is an awesome twist on Colette.
I've read through this thread and the PMF articles, and want to ask about what my best crew could be while staying within the theme of messed-up evil carnies? I won a Willie as a prize, and have the DC box. I was thinking of getting the Mech Rider and putting her spear on the back of the saddle with a wavy flag, and maybe making a Captian model from the TTB Male kit with a top hat or something. Willie doesn't need any conversion really to fit in cos he looks mad enough. Angelic would also fit the theme well. Only three flying monkeys (Doves) come in the box, so I'll need a few more maybe?
What else might I need or want to convert for this crew?

as The flying Monkey is Rare 3 You do not Need more of them. I like the firestarter as a model to fit in this theme (especially the Alternative one). Howard Langston is a must have in any freak show I think.

I personally would never run a spam list like that because I don't like them. But it might work, though getting LoS on enough targets to justify building your entire list around that many shots and nothing else is questionable.
i would never play that too, but I would also never play a guild gunline... But there are people doing this. Maybe someone is playing this list also!?
it depends on the map but with some strategies I think it works well (turf war!?)
I like cabaret choreography.. And with this and the union miner I think some crazy things could be done.
but that's OT... ?

what about Colette and 7 silent ones? The SO drop a marker at 0 cost... Shoot twice... Cabaret choreography...shoot again....getting the right trigger let's you shoot 4 times with a silent one..;)

ahhh. I thought they were at 2 wounds then.... You are right...than summoning a mannequin is not as great as a gamin.

Mannequin are a good choice with The Rider, of You Are playing a scheme marker heavy pool (and if not, they are still worth summoning I think).

What do you do when you really need to kill something? Say a Killjoy or a Teddy or a flesh comstruct, even a punk zombie pops up? Two damage here and there from explosions are nice, but won't prevent them shredding your crew.
don't underrate the power of 2 damage every move for everyone in 3". If you deploy your perfomer well you are able to lure the enemy from one side to the other and vice versa. But you are right: Against an elite crew this kind of crew is not going to win anything....but it is still a lot of fun. In a 50 SS Crew I would get Mech-Rider in. Maybe Howard.
and it's not always about shredding someone. It's about getting VP. And this Crew does some schemes in a manner that no other crew is able to....

Just to give you my idea of a Colette List, which is more of an unusual playstyle I think. But l love to brain out lists, only a few would expect.
We are running a Campaign at the moment and I took Cassandra as Henchman to add Colette later on. What I run is a list with a Mannequin, two performers, two Union Miners and Willie. Placing a lot of Scheme Markers, lureing the enemy into the "Minefield" and blasting them out of the way. Furthermore I spam the board with scheme Markers, so all marker heavy schemes are easily fulfilled. Reckoning and Turf War are both excellent for this list. Also is squatters right. As you can control three of the five markers.
this is a lot of fun and I think no one would expect such a Colette List.
my two cents

Hi Folks,
is it possible for sensei Yu and Shenlong both having the low river style attached, as it has no rarIty?

Thanks a lot!!

hi all,
I think I know the answer but I want to clarify.
If a model gets killed by a condition (poison e.g.) is there placed a head marker?
I think no, as the model doesn't get killed by an enemy model but through the condition and the strategy says: "Whenever a model kills .... a non peon model..."
thanks for your answers.

I don't have the books right here. What is the wording of stuffed piglets?
-
I don't see any complicated situation:.
Izamu breaks the rules as on p. 28 allowed.
There is NOWHERE written, that reducing to 0 wounds means, the model counts as killed.
P.46 states: "...If the model is reduced to 0 wounds [....] it is immediately removed from game AS KILLED."
Izamu breaks this rule as he is not removed as killed through his ability. And this ability remives him from game not the 0 wounds. Can't see the point, why this should not be clear!?

Thanks a lot for your answers. That's how I understood but my last opponent thought she could such crazy things.

Hi Malifauxnists,
I'm wondering how the charger of LJ is executed. She needs no LOS. So this overrides the "Target a model within LoS" rule. But what about the "Move this model up to its Cg in a STRAIGHT LINE".
I'm wondering if Lady J. is able to charge moving other than in a straight line!? Maybe around a corner or so?
Thanks fit your reply

This is awesome stuff.
I'm from Wuppertal in NRW and I'm part of a small gaming group (7/8 people) and we are playing Malifaux every week. Maybe we can make contact, as wr are planning a tournament in Wuppertal and maybe you would like to attend?
