  1. I have to thank Kai for stepping in as I got a huge health scare last week. Following on from that I'm having to step back from a lot of things whilst I sort myself out and Kai doing this has taken a lot of worry from me.

I should still be playing a bit now and again and will still be part of the community though and hope to see you all at tournaments.

  2. In reply to comments regarding attendance at story encounters: http://themostexcellentandawesomeforumever-wyrd.com/topic/113544-twas-the-night-before-christmas-event/#comment-913709

The rankings exist in Scotland. Scotland has some highly ranked players. Still fantastic turnout for their non ranked events. Ergo player demand and not the rankings which has caused lack of support for story encounters.

Connor, why couldn't it be ranked? Wasn't it four rounds of swiss at 50SS?

Oh and thanks for finding Scheme 2, was just about to buy another box :D

  3. Hi, great work on the rankings. I'm not sure if it's a browser issue, but there doesn't appear to be a number next to the name and therefore no way of seeing your ranking. I had an awful lot of counting down to find my lowly ranking....8)

Is this something  that is going to be added as WIP progresses?

yeah wip, getting the core done first

  4. It's interesting. If you run with it I'd be happy to be involved, but I am concerned that it may not work out so well. At the moment I don't think there are enough events to make it functional

I am also still a bit iffy about trying to make story events more competitive

As an alternative how about we introduce a tournament season achievement challenge? You could incorporate it into the rankings as part of your own profile, when you click your name from the main screen, so you could get a list of the things you have done and within this you could get achievements for completing a story event, winning best painted, attending multiple story events etc.

ou could also keep in some of the stuff the rankings already has to some extent, like play in 15 tournaments and play all factions at an event in the year

That would all be doable as long as TOs were up for including all that information in the file sent to me. The achievements for story encounters could be given out as badges on the players page and in the badge section of the main page of the rankings.

Sorry for coming in late to this discussion, may make more comments as I read the thread, though it looks like the thread has finished before I got to it ;)

Edit: and I also think that the 11 month Masters qualifying calendar would be better 1/1 to 30/11 of each year, more chances to play

  5. The new page for UK Malifaux Rankings is now live, will be developed as I go along rather than waiting for it all to be finished - this is up-to-date as of today

    http://www.potentiallylethal.co.uk/uk-malifaux-rankings/

There are a few tweaks in progress already and the players, tournament and affiliation pages are in development.

There are a few players to consolidate as there are doubles of them

Also if the clubs/stores who hold the tournaments want their sites linked on the tournament page please give me the web address

  6. Thanks :D I've only received 4 tournament reports from August/September/October

    These are:

    • Flipped Out
    • September's Curse
    • CroFaux 2
    • Hall of Fame 2015

If you know of any others please chase the TO to pass them on so I can get them added - stephen@potentiallylethal.co.uk

    thanks

  7. Again to remind TOs that if you have any results from August/September/October to send them to stephen@potentiallylethal.co.uk to ensure that they are included in the rankings as I will be working the new data into the old from Friday onward to try and get everything up to date by the end of next week and then put the updated rankings up on the site rather than just the old data as that can still be found at the old site

  8. Just to let people know that they should send Malifaux tournament data to me now for ranking purposes - use this email stephen@potentiallylethal.co.uk - if you have any tournaments from August, September or October (so far) please send to me as well so I can ensure that the rankings are as complete as possible.

The rankings at malifauxrangings.com is still the most up to date, but within a fortnight the new rankings area should be open with any new data added.

    thanks Stephen

  10. Just to let people know

As of the start of 2016 I will be taking over the management of the UK Malifaux Rankings, keeping these up to date, the originals are at www.malifauxrankings.com.

Before then though I want to start taking ranking scores for the rest of the world, specifically those regions mentioned in the Wyrd Forums Community Events area; North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia (as well as the UK).

I’ve set up example pages at www.potentiallylethal.co.uk/malifaux-rankings and I think the instructions are relatively straightforward, and to emphasise, these are not the completed areas as I will be breaking down the regions into countries as and when I get data.

If you want to start sending data for non-UK tournaments to me at malifauxrankings@potentiallylethal.co.uk with the required details as stated on the instruction page I can start getting this started internationally.

If you see any glaring mistakes or have suggestions for improvement please let me know.

    Thanks.
