The starter set makes for a wonderful demo in my experience. Just a little taste of everything, keeps it quick and simple.

I'll be at the Tabletop Minions Expo on June 3rd and June 4th in Oshkosh WI. We'll be running Malifaux Demos and we'll have a few walk-up type games of Enforcer Brawl rolling.

Well, I for one am a big fan of this idea, and while I'm not losing sleep waiting on it. I'd definitely grab a box or two, simply too make a few more unique Bayou Gremlins.

Well... I've painted alot more then I've posted recently... honest. Just finished this guy up this weekend. I'm very pleased with him. Nightmare Edition Whiskey Golem, absolute pleasure to paint.

I'll be there! I'm taking part of the Enforcer brawl, and possibly the story encounter. The Malifaux room at Adepticon is awesome, and it tends to run pretty late. Plenty of opporunities to catch a demo or a pick up game on an unused table, or later in the day.

No, there's no disengaging strike unless a model begins its move in the engagement range and is attempting to end its move outside of the engagement range. One thing to keep an eye on however, is that there is no 'double move' action. In a situation you've described above, if the model is using both action points to move, ensure that each walk action is resolved separately.

So, I can't help but think this is one of those situations where we shouldn't worry about what we 'could' do and take a look at what we 'should' do. I don't have my rulebook in front of me, so I'm not entirely sure if there exists a definition for the word 'direction' that includes or excludes anything in particular in the specific context of the game of Malifaux. While you may be correct in including 'up' in your collection of directions when it comes to a definition for the word in the English language, I'm just about positive that's not the intent here when it comes to gameplay.

I like to mix a light grey and brown, leaning closer to the grey, then I throw a brown wash over the painted wood. It gives a believable weathered wood look.
