  1. Whilst I'm sure that the answer to this question is 'play the schemes, and not your enemy', I thought I'd ask the Gremlin hive mind.

In short I got my green backside kicked last night with against Ramos. Taking Ophelia was probably the start of my mistake, as was not realising that Joss was capable of carving Gracie in two rather easily. But...

Since Ramos is a master that thrives on scrap markers, what do we as Gremlins have to shut him down? I think only McTavish has scrap removal, so I was hoping theres someone with a little more sense on here that can point me in the right direction.

  2. We are always taught the 'bathtub' for critique.

A positive start, room for improvement in the middle then another positive to finish. As long as you aren't being a dick and offering nothing but 'that sucks' then it shouldn't be an issue. I see it all the time on Dakka and other forums. Loads of 'that's awesome' and then you end up with a thread a month later with 'why is noone hiring me for painting jobs'

There is a great thread where someone posted up some Tyranid minis, and asked who wanted professonally painted models. He just couldn't see how poor his stuff was, but after a little initial hostility to criticism, he accepted the people with genuine helpful comments and his painting is coming on nicely.

It's all in the question I reckon. 'C&C this model' or 'help me improve' then don't be afraid to speak true. 'Just finished my first crew, so happy' type posts? Give it the 'awesome effort dude' and move on.

  3. Afternoon all,

Gremlin player here, from Lincoln UK. Fairly new to the Malifaux scene, probably 6 months or so in. A few at my local group started the Faux movement and I followed willingly. After a couple more games I'll be looking at the UK tourny scene with the rest of the 'Titans Tyrants'
