So who is going from the West Midlands?! I'm in Wolverhampton now and you guys are my new team (know some of the Walsall lot are going but no idea of their usernames on here!).
Me (Graeme Nicholls), though I'm at the other side of Brum in Coventry and seem to have lost my mojo at Cow Wars...

They don't drop heads/count for Bounty, are tough/hitty for their points. I could see a place in Headhunter/Collect the Bounty too, but not for four of them I'm afraid.

So close to me it'd be rude not to. I'll be there.

Just paid for Karl McConnell's ticket (I owed him, this just worked out easier).

Hi guys,
Extremely new to Malifaux (I've just bought a crew set and the rulebook) and I don't live far from Northampton, was wondering if i can pop along and watch you guys play some games so I can begin to pick up the rules and basic tactics?
Also, how often are these run?
Hey Tom,
Absolutely you can. There's guys there playing faux most days it seems (I'm not local so rarely visit). Friday evening is generally good to pop along I think. Ask for Ben, Karl or Craig and they'll sort you out with some beginner stuff I'm sure.

I'm all paid (Dave Chandler). Just need to re-learn how to play this "Malifaux" thing. It uses dice right?....
Yes, and Wyrd brought out an overpriced dice cup that is now mandatory to use for all actions. Even walking.

Yes, except I've not tried Lust yet. I really need to get the crossroads seven sometime.

Yeah I just found it's hard to use where's teddy effectively. Since it often leaves Kade in a bad position. But that's experience with them I guess
That has been my issue too. Plus, if I want to move Teddy I could use Mr Graves and only spend the 1AP on the action. He's slightly less scary than Kade, but more versatile too. I find myself picking Graves over Kade more often than not.

Candy is great, but I found Baby Kade can be hard to make work well. Any tips there?
I've not gotten the best out of him yet by any means but Lilitu helps I've found. She draws one enemy in with her lure and has a large engagement range, while not being terribly expensive. I prefer Kade to activate late, not so much due to manipulative as the fact that he has so few wounds he's safer when there are fewer models left to activate.

I'll be bringing little green men. Gremlins for me please.
Craig Woods is sorting payment now. I'll try and get him and Karl to declare a faction, but there's more chance of the actual Chuckle Brothers picking a faction than those two...
I thought they were the chuckle brothers!

Some of these questions I would like to avoid. I want any information you give to a TO that which you are happy for the world to see. It would be really awkward if you had written no to 'would you play this person again?' and they saw it. Could lead to confrontation.
Similarly, when do you fill this in? My first tournament was a Warhammer event that had a similar matrix. My third round opponent stood there and told me what score he should score for sports and why, and stood there watching me as I filled it in. Damn, that was awkward as he had been a nice opponent to play against but that move was all about him scoring as best he could.

I went to thetrainline.com. I don't catch many trains though, there may be better sites out there.
Closer to the time I'm sure we can look at sorting out lifts from the local lads. I'm fairly near and will gladly help out.

There a decent train connection from London or something?
Seems like the only viable option to fly in from Vienna.
Just had a quick check and it looks like there's currently four trains an hour from London Euston to Long Buckby, the closest station to the venue. Hope that helps.

I saw the idea of getting a badge on the rankings for winning a Best Sports, just as we currently have for getting first place in a tournament. I think this is great!
I also saw an added criteria for the masters of "must not have been disqualified for an event this season." I can't think of any counter arguments to this, it's a solid idea that I'd like to see in the rules.

Hi all,
So after a brief dalliance, I’ve decided that Ressers are not the faction for me and I’ll be heading back to Neverborn. After friends have done some cherry picking, this is what I have left to shift. All models are plastic, cleaned of mould lines and base coated, unless otherwise stated. Prices include postage, though I’ll drop the total price if you want more than one model/I hand them over at an event (my next event is Haul of Eggs in Daventry)
Resurrectionist models for sale.
2x The Hanged £5 each
3x Rotten Belles £4 each (one still new on sprue)
6x Gaki £4 each
1x Avatar Kirai £155x Mindless Zombies £15 for the lot (Partially base coated)Metal Datsue Ba £5
2x Shikome £5 each (just undercoated)Izamu £8 (just undercoated)Alternate metal Bete Noir - £12
If you happen to have any of the models below going free, let me know. We could come to some arrangement for trade/cash
Models wanted:
Hooded Rider
Mr Tannen
A nurse
Lucius crew

This looks like a Bag of Props list, not a Fated. The only models that Collodi can buff/Vasilisa can tow about are the Effigies and Marionettes, which are far from powerhouses. If you want to use Fated, Vasilisa and A Friend to Talk To, I'd recommend getting a Coryphee or two in there.
If you switched to Bag, your marionettes would then be focusing often and Collodi would use his triggers to dismantle the opponents crew.
Teddy is teddy.
Widow weaver is nice, her web markers make both Collodi and Teddy scarier, plus you can get some mileage out of the extra walk for constructs. I assume she'll hide behind Teddy to live.

My Kaeris against a Hoffman crew. Kaeris swoops in and uses Grab and Drop on Hoffman.
"Hoffman can't be pushed or pulled due to his upgrade."
"Sorry, it's a place effect. It works."
I Red Jokered the flip, placing him away from his constructs and next to my Rail Golem.
Who Delivered a rather spiffy message to him.
Then he did the Locomotion..

Cold Nights is exactly the upgrade I was about to recommend for Raspy, changing the battleground to your choosing is always a strong ability.
I would personally swap Sub Zero on Snow Storm to Imbued Energies. Sub zero can only help minions and may not come up every game, Imbued Energies is... well, it's amazing and you see it all over Arcanist lists for that reason.

Yeah. It's also hard to oversell condition removal in this game.
Also remember that models which are damaged by the blast markers are also impacted the Radiance.
Exactly as mythicFOX has said, it's "models" not "enemy models". Beware of blasts hitting your own guys as well unless you want burning.
Of course, if you're just trying to pop that gamin for an extra bit of damage...
