We will be hosting the second annual Malifaux tournament at Count-i-con 2016. The tournament will be Saturday August 27 from 12-8. This is the second year running tournaments at the con. This tournament will be a 50 soulstone, single faction tourney. It will be 3 rounds with each round lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes minutes. There will be an hour long break for lunch. We will be using the 2016 Gaining Grounds packet. Tournament packets and a schedule break down will be made available as we get closer to the con. There will be a 16 player maximum for this tournament. Should interest exceed that number, we will reevaluate the number. 

We will be using the Wyrd Tournament kit for prize support as well as many other goodies.

To enter the convention, a one day ticket is $7.00, for both days a ticket is $10.00. Entry fee for this tournament is $5.00. 

There will be an X-Wing, Batman Miniature Game and Malifaux tournaments on Saturday and Guild Ball and Marvel Universe Miniature Game on Sunday. Feel free to sign up for something on each day.

On Sunday July 19th from 1230-430, I will be running Malifaux Demos at UGG in Grayslake, IL. Come on by to learn the game or do some open gaming! See ya there.

Despite the different schemes and strat and board set ups, what are some general ideas or strategies for The Dreamer playing against Von Schill. Dealing with common models that are found in Von Schill lists? Which models fare well against his common crews?

We will be holding our first ever Malifaux Leauge. It will be a 30ss league and will run 4 rounds/ 8 weeks. Each round is 2 weeks and you are required to play one game within that time frame. I will start by saying, I apologize if this classifies as an advertisement but since its not a product or service, I'll give it a shot.

I use the citadel line and am quite pleased with the turnout. The colors I use most in Malifaux and Browns, Grays, and Metal. Then depending on faction or crew, the brighter colors

If model A is on top of a building and wants to shoot at model B who is directly below touching the building model A is on, can model A draw the diagonal line of sight to model B below?

The arsenal boxes have cards for some crews that have not had their 2nd edition models released yet and allows you to use the old metal miniatures as well as the previously stated generic faction upgrade cards. You can make do with just the small rulebook for the rules portion, as you say, a crew box ( I play Neverborn as well), the fate deck is very useful but a standard deck of cards can work, you just need to convert suits, a tape measure and a table with things that can act as terrain.
