I've personally just switched over to mostly scale 75 as i love the matt finish but ive also used vallejo, gw and p3, so like most long time painters i have a preferance but kinda just mix and match between manufacturers for colours. Theres no right brand, theyre all good some excel in certain areas some are cheap and alright, some are over priced and alright, you need to experiment a bit and just find what you like. I also really like the dropper bottles as they dont dry out anywhere near as quick as flip tops.

For beginners i would imagine reaper would be helpful as they do triumvirates of paint, so you buy a pre picked group of 3 colours that work as a dark, mid and light tone. I cant recommend the paints as personally ive never used them.

thats the link to the build your own paint set, youll notice that the colours work in the groups of three, so for example youd buy deep red, blood red and fire red as your dark mid and light tones.

There are no malifaux specific paint sets but some paint manufacturers are p3, coat d arms, scale 75, gw, reaper miniatures, vallejo, army painter, darkstar, they all do sets of colours that you can buy i think. Hope that helps a little.

After an un assembled plastic chompy bits if anybody has one?

Pass, i don't use any of them. you need to find a hobby supply shop in italy that sells something like this http://www.ema-models.co.uk/index.php/plastic-weld-cement-12x-57ml.html
obviously you probably don't want 12 pots

as most plastic models are made from some form of styrene plastic you should ideally be using some form of dichloromethane solvent (i'm a model maker for a living so trust me please), this stuff can just be brushed on, apply a little to the piece before you put them together and then just bruch some around the joint. It takes a little while for the bond to harden but it will be very strong. Zap a gap is fine to use on plastic as it is formulated for use with plastics but most superglues will make the plastic brittle and cause more problems than they solve. GW platic glue is weird and i think because of how quick it sets it doesnt really create a good bond, i dont know for sure as i havent used it in years

Im having the same problem, did this ever get resolved please?

We stick everything together at work with emulsion glue, i mean nearly everything, sticks card to plastic, wood to wood, and the best part is its basically tacky glue so that will work, ive used it to stick metal to wood, its great stuff

Nathan, thankyou very much for putting the pictures in.
Thankyou all for the positive response. Holmes221, these arent marketable with the amount of time they take unless you have more money than sense ore else i would but i believe people would baulk at the price.

So, I was bored at work and fed up of having cards scattered everywhere when I play, the solution, make a card box!
Here it is, constructed from stained maple, purple heart, a bit of walnut, brass and a crap load of watch gears. Hope you like it.

my ability to use computers is rubbish so if you follow the link above you'll see the box.
Thanks
