Uk or other ? I might be interested in bothe multi parts depending on price and postage ?
Other. Germany, to be precise. Postage to the UK is £3.
As for the price, make me an offer. Preferably one I can't refuse.

1: It's not late. [...] Yours just happened to be late.
Sure, if you put it that way...
Reading the Kickstarter terms I know they can not legally be held accountable for being late, but reading Wyrd's statement: "We put September 2013 in order to give us enough time to get things right, but our goal is to actually deliver it sooner without breaking any promises or dates." Yes, they are late, no matter how much you try to spin it.
2: Your miniatures are usable for the purpose. They are just slightly bigger. Is it annoying? I bet it is. But faulty? No.
Bottle caps or buttons or small rocks would be usable for the purpose you describe. The whole point of miniatures is their aesthetics. Wrong proportions and scale detract from that. Hence they are faulty.
3: You still have 22 other miniatures that are fine. MUCH more than was originally promised. So I guess you have come out ahead in that regard.
Maybe Wyrd should be asking YOU for more money for the extras?
11, actually. And I'd rather have four of each kind that I see as fit for purpose. You know, what I agreed to when I decided to back their project based on the information they provided.
Wyrd are welcome to ask ME for more money for the extras once they travel back in time to undo a year of bad communication and deliver the product they promised in the timeframe they proposed.

We are certainly not ignoring any criticism.
So I am getting a replacement or a refund for the faulty miniatures you sent me as part of the eleven months late Kickstarter?
Fantastic!

So much extra leg on the female minis...
-
Frankly, I don't give a rat's furry behind about Wyrd's future choices. Their past choices have ensured that I have no wish to interact with them in any way once this travesty of a kickstarter campaign is truly over (i.e. when I have the things missing from my pledge reward).
As it stands, saying "your criticism is heard" and then turning around and doing nothing is just another slap in the face.
-
Thank you, maybe you can find some answers to go with that update as well.
Apparently not.
-
What good is it for the criticism to be heard if Wyrd is unwilling to resolve the issue?
-
I have backed quite a few Kickstarters. Luckily there were very few where the creator had the audacity to say "Eh, good enough" and deliver a shoddy product (almost a year late, I might add). In fact there was only one that comes to mind, and that company hasn't seen a dime from me since.

Not fit for the purpose? Is TTB now a 30mm Roleplaying Game?
I'm going to have to agree on Wyrd for this one: 3-5mm too large isn't something to refund / recall, especially when they're not even game models. People only noticed it when they put the sprues side-by-side.
Their proportions are off, both when looking at the female minis alone (their legs are way too long) and when comparing them to the male models. They are supposed to depict human beings. They evidently do not. Hence they are not fit for purpose.
The miniatures I received are most certainly not what I expected when I gave Wyrd my money. Hence I want my money back.

I just deleted some posts on this thread because it was delving into the scale of the multi-part minis, which a moderator had already asked be moved to the relevant thread. You're welcome to share your opinions, please do it in the correct place.
Would you then kindly delete or move your own posts that are clearly not on the topic this thread is intended for, and not just those posts made in reply to them?
That the posts you deleted were critical in nature was just a coincidence, I am sure.

So who do I turn to to get a refund for these minis that are not fit for purpose?

With all the delays due to quality, what makes you think they would send them out if they knew?
I simply find it unfathomable that they did not notice. That's a level of incompetence I simply cannot understand. Again, they are a miniatures company. This supposedly is their area of expertise, and they have been doing it professionally for many years. Of all the shortcomings of the Kickstarter campaign I find this the most shocking.
-
I think the issue is completely obvious when you look at the sprue for just two seconds. Maybe not that they are out of scale (for which you need a comparison to notice), but that the proportions are way off.
They'd have to have sent them out without taking a glance at them, which does not seem wise. Otherwise they would have noticed. They are a miniatures company, for crying out loud, you'd expect them to have some expertise in this matter. Especially when the issue has already arisen before.

Just had a look at one of my decks. The material quality is great, but the artwork is underwhelming.
This is the third or fourth different deck I got from Wyrd and it is without a doubt my least favourite one.
-
My stuff arrived this morning without any errors, so I am reasonably happy.
Would be nice to know a timeframe when to expect the missing hardcover, though.
-
We've had a lot of reports back now. Not a single person has received two Ltd TTB decks, to my knowledge. Everyone has got one of each.
I got two TTB Fate Decks.
-
Yeah, it's funny how that works. When I read "Estimated delivery: September 2013" I also thought I could expect things to be delivered in (or at least close to) September 2013. Interpretation is such a fine art.

Yes, these things take time.
And the eight months Wyrd proposed it would take seemed like a reasonable timeframe.
With their "best laid plans" it has now taken at least eighteen months. I would have gladly waited a year; now it's at least a year and a half since they took my money, and they have refused those who asked for a refund.
It's pretty simple to me, I paid my money, you should hold up your end of the bargain. And if that is not possible for whatever reason, you should at least show me the courtesy of keeping me informed, which Wyrd has not deemed necessary.
-
It seems they don't have an iota of respect for the people who handed them a quarter million dollars to create this product.

As we are entering month 18 of this 8 month project, the status for the backers apparently is "We already have your money so you can suck it."

Just curious, when you signed up for the kickstarter did you have to have an account that permitted you activity on the forums? Just asking because most backers appear to have accounts that go back a bit further than the 5th Mar 2014 and have made more then just the 4 posts you have made. If your offer is legitimate and you are actually a backer, does it include all the other items you received as a backer as well as the books and does it include postage of all the items to my address? I eagerly await your response.
Kind Regards,

No, I did not have an account here when I backed the kickstarter. I only signed up here when Wyrd refused to post updates on kickstarter regularly, in the hopes of getting information here that they did not seem necessary to share with their backers.
I have backed at the Living Room level, and everything included in that is up for grabs, as are a dozen or so different Malifaux gangs (the older metal versions). After seeing Wyrd treating people who gave them money to support them with no respect, I have no interest in the stuff anymore. The fun has been sucked right out of it, and I have no wish to support this company in any way in the future.
Postage is not included, though. Shipping the stuff to Australia I think I'd make a loss.

I guess for each one leaving at least one more will be joining. I regret missing the Kickstarter but intend on buying the books as they appear.
I also think the terms First World problem and hyperbole are absolutely essential to fully comprehend your use of the word 'horrific'.

You are welcome to my copies of the books.
For the full Kickstarter experience you will have to give me the money now, and I will send them to you in January next year. Except that I will let that date pass by without informing you about it. I'll actually send them out in October 2015. Maybe.
Any takers?

We could have hightailed this out to keep folks from frothing and going 'but I've been waiting'. You're right, you have been, but 'I' made the decision that I wanted to make certain the product got plenty of testing and that we could put as much extra into the books as possible. If you want to blame someone, you can blame me and stop sending hate e-mail at Mack and some of the other fellas.
I could have made it happen before the end of last year, if I wanted to put out a rushed product and not have it quite where we were happy with it. I tasked Mack and some others to ignore the hollering and the need to just 'get it done' and to instead get it done in a manner that they were both happy and proud to have their name on it. While we were at it, we stuffed the hell out of it with new artwork throughout the whole of the book and we didn't skimp there either - that also takes time.
And that these things take time somehow was not clear when you set your initial goal of getting the books finished in eight months? You know, your proposal on which I based my decision to give you my money?
