I was a bit underwhelmed when looking at the thumbnail in the gallery - it looked a bit dull and grey. But up close this is actually quite beautifully painted! Lots of different tones in the skin, and the metal bits looks great! Well done!
I can totally see that. Black and white were used everywhere, and they are two colours I tend not to use often, and sparingly when I do. There are no real attention grabbing colours except for maybe the cloth. Thank you for the kind words and the critique.

The flesh tones look really good, as does the bright blue of the cloth.
Thank you. The blue is an older Citadel colour called Enchanted Blue. The Coat d'Arms equivalent is Wizard Blue.

The NMM looks awesome; I like that all of the metal colors tie into other pieces on the miniature. I like your flesh palette, too.
Thank you. I normally do not paint nmm as the majority of what I paint is for gaming and I find tmm reads better at a distance.

Some really nice metallics on this with the reflected horizon and non-standard colours. I should try that sometime.
Thanks. The horizon was unplanned. The arms are magnetized so I can swap them for gaming purposes. I painted them separately as they wiggled if on the model. I was worried about the highlights and shading shifting positions on me so I painted three white lines to keep them straight. As time became an issue, I just worked the white lines into the metal. The metals are all black, white, and X. The steel was the same blue as the cloth, the brass was yellow, the iron was dark umber and the copper was the same orange-brown used on the foot wrappings.

I love the purple, yellow and orange transitions on the flesh. It makes this piece very interesting visually.
Thank you. The flesh is the only part I got around to doing any glazing on. It's black, white, and flesh with thin passes of purple, dark turquoise, dark umber, and the base flesh over that.

This is amazing. I absolutely adore it.

I neglected to add a description, so here it is...
I am open to critique.
That is all.

Seeing this fills me with both excitement and dread. I absolutely love it. This is a fantastic piece.

Yeah, this was my favorite entry. Such a playful and well-executed idea. The contrast between the monster's skin and the kid-like lines and shades of the box itself is wonderful.
Thanks. That was what I was trying for. I loved the feel of your piece.

Great entry! Lots of fun. Some nice details on this too. All that freehand painting must have taken a while!
Not as long as the sculpting. I was in a bit of a panic as I was still sculpting going into week two.

That's pretty amazing, love the take on the theme.
Thanks. I doubt I would have done anything like this without the prompt from the theme.

Thank you. I hope he proves to be a magnet for attention on the table and draws my fellow gamer's focus away from what I may be doing elsewhere on the table.
