So since models are not defined as cover granting objects but only block LoS, if one line is blocked when checking LoS, then you can't target the model at all? My group has been playing intervening models as soft cover if you can still trace one line as normal, but blocked if they're actually blocked by a bigger base or something.

I dont think i signed in to the store when i made my order. Thats why I created my other thread, and sent an email through the "contact us" on the store site. Was just wondering if they were able to look it up by address or something.

I know youre not Amazon with 30 minute delivery drones and such. Is an order assigned a number before, or after its packed and shipped? Does a confirmation get sent out after payment for an order? Like i said, im not upset, Im just out $40 with nothing to go on but good intentions.

Im not upset about the order taking a while to ship or anything. Its just the lack of information thats bothering me, especially since my card has already been charged. Appearently I dont have an account in the store either so I cant look anything up on my end.

I would say no cover. Can the 2 red "cover determining" lines be drawn without going through a cover granting object?

From what hat I can tell, the 2 red lines are used for cover and LoS. If one of the LoS lines gets blocked by something that would grant cover, then cover is given. in your first example, the LoS lines are not blocked, thus not granting cover.

The diagram on pg 40 should help.

So what you're saying is I can't Pounce a model that is in b2b, since I can't move it any further, therefore not causing a move that would trigger Pounce? The FAQ seems to prohibit the targeted model from walking any further, therefore not moving?

Actually I believe I have been taking advantage of nexus, burned 2 stones in one turn trying to keep pandora alive. Guess what I did after that. Stopped spending stones on her since I had more important things to do. I'm with you on the feeling of being helpless, I play an evil 8 pointed star army in a game set before the year 50k, and I did it in its last edition. Everything in this game has its positives and it's negatives. I'm sure you know this though. Nexus just happens to be one of the positives of a particular faction. Hell, as it sits right now I'll never take dreams of pain. Why would I spend 6ss to bring a model up with 1 wound? Huge negative. Seems to offset the 1 positive for sure.

So you had a bad match up? I played a 3 way game last night. Opponent was guild running lady justice, other guy had Mcmourning. I ran pandora, Dopple, and 3 sorrows. His guild crew mollywopped Mcmournings crew, and my crew, throwing Mcmourning in a casket just for laughs at the end. So can I say lady justice is overpowered?

Yes there are some strong things that can be done, but all three of us agree that we were really all balanced. I even took nexus, but that doesn't help when you have no soul stones left. One model or one upgrade should not make you want to quit. Since I've started I've been tailoring my lists to my objectives, and not doing half bad at all and I'm only 3 games in. The crew I like to run tends to make the opponent stay away while I run around and perform schemes. If I'm against a ranged crew, I'm screwed. So should I quit if I get ranged to death? No.
