  1. Bleeder Lash states "Death Mark:After damaging, the target must discard one card or gain the following Condition for the rest of the game:Death Mark:This model is treated as having the Peon characteristic for Encounter purposes and may not take Interact Actions."

Seems fairly clear from that he would be a Peon and so would not score if you had not removed the condition by the end of the game.

  2. Yeah... english is not my first language. Thanks for all the help! I did find this radio-version to be very useful  http://schemesandstones.podbean.com/e/episode-12-master-spotlight-sonnia-criid/

I will try on my own way to find what works for me, and so on. Tips from here will be on my mind  And from there we will see... In the end, it is allways all about having fun :)

Don't be frightened off by some rude reponses from a few in this thread.

  3. Haven't really looked but I am going to pick some of those up from GGE while at Colours this weekend unless anyone else there has better ones so i'll let you know what they're like.

  4. I'v been getting quite a bit of millage out of Guild Autopsies lately.

Not saying they will games outright but for four stones are a bargain really esp when using their sh5 against big targets with low defence to soften them up.Plus wk5 and regen from poison and handing out poison make these pretty good hires imo.

I def would reiterate everyones comments about belles as they are just so useful they are pretty much auto include for me now.

  5. You could extend your absurdity further with

"Stinky, With death bearing down on him, looks up to the heavens for deliverance. Unbelievably, 2 cards float over his head before disappearing into a pile that floated somewhere off to one side of the board edge (Stinky paused to wonder what would happen if he wandered off the edge of the board, that mysterious barrier to reality no Canine remains had ever crossed)"

Where did those two cards come from? What relevance do they hold for poor Stinky?!! How do you come to acquire these precious objects?!!!

The game would start to break down if you thought in these terms. The player uses the resources he has to hand when required. If an ability requires 2 cards or SS to be discarded to prevent something happening, the player chooses, not poor Stinky.

Except the wording on fattys trigger is "After damaging immediately kill the target unless IT discards two cards or two soulstones."There's no mention of the player in this unlike stoning for cards or initiative.

If the intent was everyone could do it why wouldn't they just put the "unless the player" instead of "it" which would then make more sense esp given your point about the cards?

I'm prob wrong but I'd rather see why i'm wrong re the rules as it seems most assume any model can discard stones they don't have and I'm assuming they can't as i'm buggered if I can find it in the rules.

Also Stinky thanks you for thinking of him.

You seem to be hung up on discarding soulstones from the cache.  Where are the rules that specify that a model can discard cards from the player's hand?

    Yeh I guess.

I just want to be sure that if I use this to save poor Stinky and deny my opponent a point in Reckoning on turn 5 to win it's legit really.

  7. So it doesn't actually say in the rules any model may discard stones it's merely an asumption?

    Consider this scenario;

Stinky the loveable canine remains is contentdly passing the time licking what remains of his nut sack when suddenly from around the corner a bellowing, fat lunatic with knives strapped to his hands leaps out and stabs poor Stinky through what's left of his abdomen.

Stinky is almost killed and being unable to use stones to prevent this damage is understandably worried especially as it seems the shock will now end up killing him anyway but lo Stinky for some reason has two stones on him(even though he can't use them)which he drops on the floor saving his life and then procedes to take a widdle on the fat mans leg before running off.

Just doesn't make  sense to me.

Also not sure why stoning for cards or reflipping the inniative are relevant as both those happen before the activation phase and also both reference "the player" rather than "the target".

To me it seems the wording "it" was added rather than "the player" in those triggers to stop lowly minions from stealing their masters stones and using them to save their worthless lives, just like loveable Stinky who went on to be very happy for the rest of his life which sadly turned out to be about three mins once McMourning discovered the theft of the stones.

  8. The Thunder box is a 1.5 plastic, so the cards will be out of date :(

    What you will need is:

10T wave 1 arsenal deck OR the large rulebook which will have the stats for Misaki in it.

A fate deck, any of them will do.

Tape measure and some 30mm markers to use for scheme markers and corpse counters (around 10 is good)

Something to represent your soulstone cache. (counters, smarties, shots.......... :D )

Small rulebook if you did not go the large rulebook.

When you want to expand, you will probably want to choose in which faction you want to go into, either 10T or Outcast, and check out the PullmyFInger wikki

    Welcome to Malifaux!

M2e has been out about two years so should have the right cards by now.It would be pretty shady to be selling sets with defunct cards still and if that did happen I'd take it back and ask for the current edition set.

It should have a sticker on with M2e if an old box to show it has the current cards.

  9. Any fate deck will do as they are same just different colours.

To start you could just get the first book either in the A5(rules only)Rules Manual or the larger Rule Book which has fluff and all the stats on Wave 1 models.I have both myself as the small one is easier for gaming.
