  1. Oh, so they did a reprint? My local never ended up getting stock. They've pulled the item from stock completely at this point. People have been waiting years. I wouldn't call ill-informing customers mean spirited though, just incompetent.

Yup, you're right, that's all that goes into developing and running a company - we should probably just go ahead and price those at cost and put them out there. 😐

Not to mention warehouse/office, development, design, packaging, print, labor, shipping, hardware/computers - and the assumption all of which have somehow miraculously not increased over the years, much less the tariffs, trades - etc.

This is Nathan's way of saying "Yes" to the OP's question 🙄 Rampant fanboyism aside, it's a simple question by someone asking for a simple answer. It wasn't an attack. Maybe next time explain those reasons in a respectful manner instead of being a sarcastic jerk. When people get defensive about things for no reason, it's often a sign that they can't really justify what they perceive as an attack.

  3. Wish I knew what these were when I got mine. They were just thrown in with one of my orders, no packaging or anything. I thought it was a mistake, so I left them out where they got destroyed by my cat instead of sleeving them immediately like all my other cards. Ended up throwing them out.

  4. Good to see Wyrd has finally sorted out those scale problems from a few years ago  Wyrd obviously has no qualms with making huge, I practically oversized plastics, yet theyll defend making a small Nekima (and charging $35 for it) who is actually supposed to be huge. Not seeing the consistency here. Does anyone even check the renders before they go to print?

Aaaaand now I want a Nightmare edition Nekima..... that's Terror Tot sized, just for the giggles and explosion of rage it'd start... :P

Indeed, if they price it like they did the regular plastic version , you can guarantee an explosion of rage. How about $50 for a tot-size Nekima? "No, but it's totally meant to be that size...".

I'm glad I have the old metal one. Pinning through the leg means it's solid as a rock, even survived a fall off the table, and a foam carry case insert makes no harder to transport than any other large mini. To each their own I suppose.

  6. So is he missing a hand in the fluff? Forgive the pun, but I'm also stumped on how to assemble him. The pics I've seen online show him holding the saw with his left hand by the nub sticking out the back of it. The render doesn't show a hand, but its just so awkward with no attachment for the left arm.

  7. What's the deal? Why is she so small now, and will there be a nightmare edition that will do her justice in the future?

Models not being the right size seems to be a common theme with the plastics, I wish it would just get sorted already.

I also notice that all the threads discussing this have been locked for some reason. Id like to keep this one open so that Wyrd can assess community interest in such a project and to get feedback.

  8. graeme + Math: Very well articulated on scale problems, something I couldn't quite put into words myself. And I too have high hopes for future Wyrd plastics (even if I don't like the new rules).

It's not so much about whether the model conforms to what the player thinks Ht1-3 is, it's about whether the model looks appropriate for it's base. BA doesn't in any way look like a 30mm model, Joss looks like a 40mm and so does Shang (only one foot on the base for me, and again, GIANT for a 30mm 'totem'). The Judge also only has 1 foot on the actual base surface. Add to that the Hungering Darkness and new Poltergeist on 50mm, for me M2E has turned into 'The Edition of Giant Totems'. Once Ramos fixes the Leviathan, they should make that a totem and stick it on a 1000mm base, and even then he should only be able to fit one foot on there ;)

  10. This is getting ridiculous now. I went started assembling my Death Marshals today, and one of them is MASSIVE compared to the other two. I'd say about 50% bigger at least. Just look at the coffins!

    And the guns:

(Can't for the life of me figure out why the forum won't let me link upload pics. Resized, changed format etc.)

If this was a stylistic choice, it was implemented quite badly. Not just the Death Marshal, but I've seen pics of the big Sorrow. I'm not using my plastic Brass Arachnid, I prefer the original. I'm just going to use it as another LSPA and be done with it, but I'm almost certain the BA is another victim of scale too.

Someone said earlier that it looks like they used the digital renders to print from, and the figures in the foreground are clearly larger than those in back. I think they have the right of it. But it costs a lot of money to re-tool a mold, so these are "stylistic" choices  The Viks were too obvious a mistake, so they actually had to fix that. I can understand that it's not worth re-tooling an entire mold when just one figure is out of proportion, but it's ridiculous to assert that they were deliberately made out of scale.

What is wrong with the new plastics anyway? The scale problems are much worse than they were with the original metal sculpts (which I never had a problem with).

  11. The thread talking about the M2E brass arachnid not fitting on a 30mm base was closed and redirected to this one, so I'm asking here. How the hell do you fit it on a 30mm!? I followed the online instructions perfectly, and the back two legs are so widely spaced theres no way it'll fit on a 30mm. I tried putting the legs on in several different combinations, but since they're ALL different it still didn't solve my problem.

This is one huge model for a 30mm, I really think whoever re-designed the Brass Arachnid kinda went overboard. It's supposed to be a totem and an earlier design of steampunk arachnid (which the old model represents perfectly). Instead it looks like a replacement for the Large Steampunk Arachnid. I dread to see how big they'll make THAT model now, but it has to be bigger than the BA.

  12. Severino, I placed the order at about 3:15pm AEDST, so about 15 minutes after the sale started. I received confirmation that my package had shipped via FedEx around the 9th Dec and basically tracked it everyday until it had arrived. For some reason it made a stop in Honolulu; I was expecting it to fly from LAX as with most other consolidated US air exports.

Wow, that certainly seems to make sense then since I placed my order 3 days after you and got shipping confirmation 3 days after yours. Only thing is I didn't pay for tracking, so who knows. Might get here on Monday. I hope :S
