So what has really been drawing me into Malifaux more and more recently is the fluff. I finished the 1.5 Rulebook and loved it. I ordered the next book but I was wondering if anyone knows if the version 1 rulebook has different fluff than the 1.5 rulebook?

I started with D&D when i was 10 that lasted for about a month (Rocks fall everyone dies). Then Warhammer Fantasy 13 years ago and then about a month later switched to 40k bc my older bro was playing it. Stuck with that on and off . Then last year my friend started to DM and that fell through about 3 months later. Then about 6 months ago I started to DM a new campaign. This brought back an itch to play some tabletop games but 40K prices had jumped way to high for me. Thus as I was listening to D6G I heard about Malifaux and decided to try it. Life story in a paragraph lol.

So I read through the rulebook and Wednesday night me and a couple of my friends are going to start actually playing Malifaux (Lady Justice Vs Seamus, very excited). I have a question that is a bit embarrassing but I need some clarification on.

I read somewhere in the rulebook that I needed to keep track of the number and suits.

For a spell such as Lady Justice's Combat Prowess it states that the power effects a target model and one friendly model per Ram in the casting total.

So for simplicity sake lets say she flips an 8 of Rams when attempting to cast. Does that count as 8 Rams or only 1 Ram because it is only 1 Ram card? If it counts as 1 Ram and I used a soul stone and flipped another Ram card it would allow me to target a total of 3 models?

I'm sure it seems like a silly question but I thank anyone who responds anyway.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Scott. I heard about Malifaux through the D6G quite some time ago. But I didn't start looking into it until 40K got too expensive for me. I recently ordered the Lady Justice crew and a Seamus crew. I heard somewhere they were great for starters and a fun match. Sadly I haven't played yet (Models should be in any day now!) but after watching countless battle reports and doing much research I was intrigued enough to pick up the boxes. I am very excited to get started painting and playing the game. Later on I plan to pick up the Dreamer and C. Hoffman because those and Lady J were the sets which initially grabbed my attention.

If anyone lives in Southern California and wants to play a match let me know! My local friendly game store closed down and I don't know where to go to play. (Aside from my friends who I am slowly grabbing their attention one by one towards Malifaux muahahahaha!)
