  1. Deploy Lenny, Ophelia, and Ravage next to each other. Draw a tome or two. Have Lenny throw Ophelia and Ravage 10'' forward, have Ophelia walk up and jug rocket Ravage ~10 more inches forward. Activate Ravage. Laugh.

Once used that trick to take the other guys crew down to two models on turn 1.

  2. Kirai, hands down. She's got so many options in a given turn it hurts my mind. Optimizing summoning chains. Model positioning. Resource management. Going face tank next to a seishen or full auto with sundering.

Colette will always fuck around with ap manipulation, mobility, and scheme markers. Leveticus will always summon things, kill things, and come back from the dead. Kirai does just about everything. One turn she could be popping out models like Dreamer, the next shell be firing away like Perdita, the one after that she'll zip herself and her pals along like Colette, and the one after that she does a reasonable impersonation of Seamus refusing to die. Playing Kirai gives you so many levers and switches to play around with that it kind of screws with your head and you find yourself pushing and pulling at random and watching the fireworks.

  3. They're both passive abilities that modify how burning is resolved. Considering they do the same thing in that sense the controlling player should get to say what order they're layered in.

Edit: As covered in gas is a condition on the model and purifying flame is a, most of the time, external aura, the gas would have to be resolved 1st pursuant to the general timing rules. So yeah, damage would get spiked by the condition which would then get converted to healing by Kaeris. Abilities on a model, and I'm assuming those include conditions, are resolved before abilities on other models come into effect.

  4. Yes. Most enjoyable part about this whole process was seeing new toys to play with. Brexie, Ulix, Old Major, Sammy, are all great additions to the game even without corporeal representation. Even Tara for all her flaws has been a blast to mess around with.  Hell, I scrapped my Avatar Somer and turned it into an Old Major and it's probably the best decision I've made in regards to this game in a long time. A model without rules is a fancy paper weight where a rule without a model is an opportunity to flex the old creative muscles and have some fun.
