  1. Pretty cool stuff. Though I think it would have been a better fit had the flames on Rapsie's totem been in a teal tint as well. ^^

I didn't even think of that. That would have been a great paint scheme.

Thanks for the comments. This is my first time posting any pics of my models, so it feels kind of good to hear some positive feed back.

Sorry the photos are so blurry. I'll try to take some new ones before too long.

  2. As I've mentioned in other posts, I just picked up my Lilith box set. I'm really excited to start painting her but I thought I would ask you guys for some tips.

For her skin I'm aiming for the GW blueish/purple skin like the daemonette skin.

Her hair I want to have bright orange.

The tots skin I'm thinking the same thin as Lilith, but pink rather than blue.

I've never done skin like this before and I've never painted hair. So any tips or links would be most appreciated.

  3. Sweet deal! Thanks you guys.

I won't be able to make it out tomorrow night, a buddy and I are helping set up for a big Apoc game this weekend, but I'll defiantly come by next week.

@Jonas Albrecht I'd be up for that. Do you guys post games on the forums anywhere?

  4. Don't be afraid of using your Gaiman as walking bombs. I've been known to pop my own with Decembers curse when they are in a good cluster.

Cheat their defense down so Raspy get a sever and BAM! You can three explosions going at once!

(Gaiman's "shatter" and Raspy's two bursts)

  5. Mmm, brilliance. Is it opium? Is it gambling addiction?

    Why can't it be both?

Presenting Brilliance, the new perfume by Malifragrances.

I may have laughed too hard at that.

As someone who likes to convert models, I can also say that plastic is way easier to work with. The models are way easier to clean and respond well to cutting, filing, and heat. Cost, Extra Bits, and decrease in weight are all benefits.

Other people have already mentioned that some models are WAY out of scale and others have models which really could use an update to the new, more detailed, design styles.

Plus they are using ABS plastics, so I won't have to worry so much about bending limbs of the models. I thought I had snapped the arm off one of my gaiman and I about **** a brick.

  6. I just picked up my Lililth box set and I'm really excited to use it. I know that to use Lilith the best I need to pick up some young Nephillim, and probably Lelu and Lilitu.

I wanted to run a crew list by you guys and see what you thought of it. So, most of the guys I play against run small 25ss lists and I wanted to make a list that would let me get the most out of my crew at that low level.

Lilith, Mother of Monsters -- 4 Pool

    Malifaux Cherub [2ss]

    Black Blood Shaman [6ss]

    Desperate Mercenary [2ss]

    Desperate Mercenary [2ss]

    Terror Tot Nephilim [3ss]

    Terror Tot Nephilim [3ss]

    Tuco [7ss]

Just for those that may be wondering about the mercs. I plan on killing them the first round so the tots can grow, and the shaman can get the blood counters that he needs.

I'm kind of on the fence about getting Tuco. I know his range will be a good addition to the crew, but I would kind of like to max out to the 8ss pool.

  7. Raspy is a lot of fun to use. You'll be wanting to pick up some more models so you can do more with her, but she is a great crew to start learning with. Blessed of December, Silent One, Essence of Power.

If you get Ramos I highly recommend picking up the mobile toolkit. A buddy of mine uses it all the time in our games and it's a pretty nice addition.

I think that Seamus will make for some interesting matches.

I recommend checking out http://pullmyfinger.wikispaces.com for a more in depth breakdown of the masters.

  8. I think the RPG is going to be a great way to share all the fluff. I'm really excited about the adventure books that are being planned for release along with the core books.

I really like the idea of the big background book that contained all the fluff from the current books. It could add in some new stuff with more details on what the masters have been up to. Plus a nice detailed version of the map would be cool to squeeze in there.

Do you think Wyrd will do a reboot on the older masters? It kind of makes sense since they are committed to the new ABS plastics and they will have to do a reprint of them eventually.

  9. I was talking with the manager at my LFGS and we got to thinking. What if there was a book that took all the stories and fluff from the all of the previous Malifaux books and put them together in one book.

It would be a useful resource to hand out to perspective players to get them interested in the game. For example, my girlfriend is interested in the world of Malifaux and wants to get a better grasp for who all these characters are and how they interact in this world, but she has zero interest in flipping through these five different books and their crunch.

So yeah, what do you guys think? Cool collectable that you would read, or lame idea?
