  1. How did I miss these posts?

Good work Bobzilla. Are the Gremlins for your kids still, or have you fallen in love with them too?

Still for #1 son although I'm tempted to bring them along the next time I actually maker it to a tournament

Ooo absolutely love how you've done up bishop; The whole Viks set turned out awesome.

And the colours on the Gremlin are super vibrant. Looking really really nice.

Cheers :) Really liked doing the viks set at the time :)

  2. I wouldnt say less than 1/3. Buildings look about 9" wide so line them up along one board edge and add the tree bases on as well and your almost at the magic 33%.

Where it differs is that most of that is taken up by big bulky buildings instead of walls, rocks, cliffs, bushes and all the other detritus that makes up most other boards. You end up with a really open board rather than one with very tight lines of sight and lots of things to hinder movement

  3. Barring anything to do with college or NUS Scotland getting in the way I'll take whatever date is going. Won't know what's happening for a few months though.

Are you still thinking of working single day players into it? Even if I can't make it along as a player I'll no doubt drop by at some point anyway.

  4. I don't care if you don't like the game. It is too late to make changes. The book and the cards are at the printer. Expressing distaste in these forums is unproductive at best and damaging to the game and the community at worst.

So all those threads about how this is broken or that model is OP over the last two years are out of place? Just because something is set in stone right now doesn't mean it won't can't be errataed at a later date. If people are basically being told "If you haven't anything nice to say then don't say anything at all" what's the point in this place?

Critisism has it's place at all stages of the game. Not just in the development stages. It has to be backed up though just as over the top enthusism has to be based on something that can be explained and discussed.

  5. Of the folk complaining about piece counts...have you ever put together plastic models from other game ranges? GW boxes are similar in piece count but maybe not in size but Bolt Action models generally hit around the 10-12 piece per model mark with 25-40 in a box. The pieces are just as small if not smaller as well!

Yes Wyrds models can be fiddly at times but we've actually got it good compared to other systems.

  6. I read through the thread and only saw one person reference it and nobody quote it. So here's the likely justification for the flaming skulls. Taken from the Dead of Winter pdf.

Granted, that was Hansen, a named Death Marshall. But we've already been told the story will continue to evolve with 2E. So it would seem Death Marshals will gain the ability to power up for a short time, possibly weakening themselves for future rounds.

So that was one spell effect and they've chosen to include it on ll three death marshal models? What's next...All Witchlings have a spell effect for dispel moulded out of plastic? One DM I can see, and possibly like, having the firey skull effect but all of them? Not a fan.

  7. Been a while. Between a busy life and my laptop blowing up not much has really happened on my end.

Finished off Ophelia's crew and Sonnia and lost the photos in the great hard drive crash of '13.

Picked up some Bolt Action British Infantry to paint for my birthday though.

I also decided at the beginning of the year to diversify into Ressers. Needed to do it on a budget though so a lot of proxying is going to be involved to get it playable until I can pick up the actual models I need. So far I've proxied crooked men, drowned and mindless zombies. Everything else I have are the wyrd models but I've only painted a few of them so far.

  8. I've scoured the papercraft places for these sort of things and as they almost all seem to be made in scrapbooking heaven otherwise known as the USA they are almost all in imperial sizes.

There is a fancy cutter you can get that looks like one of those fancy glasscutters catburglers use in old movies but I think the smallest it goes is 40mm
