  1. Well, I would never use the peacekeeper outside of a hoffman crew, and I´m utterly unimpressed with Ryle, he is completly useless most of the time againts neverborn with his mighty wp of 2 against all irresistible junk that comes flying at you and I´m yet to see him actually do more than 1 damage with his gun, although I mostly play ressers so I never get a straight flip. I would consider taking Ryle in a Lucius crew but mostly for his melee abilities since thats one thing Lucius lacks, yes he can take the guild guard captain but he is even worse than Ryle. But don't take this as gospel, I seem to have a beef with every guild model above 7 points and I usually don't get anything usefull out of them that couldn't be handeled by 2 witchling stalkers or 3 dogs.

Watcher, Witchling Stalker and Guild Hounds are what shows up in more lists than anything else.

  2. Hi guys, this came up in a recent game. Can I cast flame wall in a room with only 2 ht? Flame wall has ht 5, I argued that it could be cast and the flames would just hit the ceiling and effectively just be ht 2 in the room.

If I can´t cast flame wall in a room that's not ht 5, can I place blasts in a room with lesser ht than 3? As they have a ht 3 value. I sure hope I'm right or Sonnia will never step near a house again :P

The other thing we have a hard time wrapping our heads around is the LoS for flat elevations. We understand the shadow but beyond that, is it just unlimited LoS?

For example, would these two have LoS to each other?

    Thats all for now :P

  3. Collodi is way thinner than hoffman. With 4 marionettes and 3 wicked dolls he weighs in at a whopping 10ss.

If my math doesn't let me down I think this is 17 stones, 1 more than the Hoffman box, did I miss anything?

  4. I will lend my extended knowledge of five games played so far to this list :P. A top ten would mean all models I have except one so I'll do a top five.

    1. Santiago Ortega, this man is a wreckingball if you get some good triggers off, he usually kills whatever he point at.

    2. Witchling Stalkers, I love these little fellows, I have only got up against ressers and arcanists so far but they have always come in handy. Well worth the points.

    3. Austringer, I love the fact that he doesn't need los. Overextend to kill him or let him be, wonderful!

    4. Executioner. Yes he is slow and he probably won't do much usefull when we get more experience in playing but so far he has been a wonderful addition to the crews I have taken him in. And the model is awesome!

    5. You know what, this just became a top four. I have played Nino once and he got killed by cassandra turn two, Fransisco usually dies as soon as he commits, my hounds have yet to capture an object, Papa Loco blew up three of my own models the only time he have been fielded (my first game) one of them beeing Abuela who had yet to do anything that game. Samael and the witchling handler have also seen play once each where the handler killed a bête noir (but it seems we read the rules wrong on this) and Samael got his butt kicked by a slit jugular trigger from Seamus after dealing nine wounds to him with his flaming bullets... damn you hard to kill! :)

  5. This came up yesterday during a match. I attacked and killed a Bête Noir with my Witchling Handler and got off the magical disruption trigger that says "After hitting defender with this weapon, defenders castingflips recive [-] during it's next activation.

The Noir died to the hit and as her slow to die action wanted to use One with the night to survive. Since Slow to die happens as soon as she dies we didn't know if this was part of her next activation and we couldn't find anything in the rules manual so we flipped for it. As it turned out she got the [-] and promply died.

    Did we do this wrong?
